4wd push button reassembly?

Hey all, so I have a 97 Limited and I was taking apart the 4wd button to start examining why my 4wd won't disengage unless I turn off the truck and turn it back on. I figured I'd start with the easiest possibility of the contacts being dirty. I went too far and totally disassembled the button itself and now I can't get the thing back together correctly.

There are two springs that are just making this reassembly a living hell. Anyone done this before by accident and have advice on how to get the infernal thing back together!?

Nevermind, I got it.

Regardless, I've seen the "My 4wd won't disengage" threads, but none of them seem to present the same way as mine. Mine actually disengages if I turn off my car and turn it back on.

Any idea what that might mean?
