Yeah! Thanks man. I am glad that it is actually here. I didn't order mine with the Hi-Lift jack points. I sort of figured that if I ever needed to jack the rear, I would use the receiver tow along with a Hi-Lift lift mate. I was thinking that if I decided to go powder coat on the bumper, that as soon as I USED the jack points for what they are designed for, that it would remove the finish where the jack contacts. If I was 100% that I would go paint or POR-15 + paint, I might have been more inclined to go that route. My options were Swing, Hi-Lift 'mount', single jerry can, and light bucket cut-outs.
What size Rigid lights are you running for your cut-outs?
Now watch, there will be a day when I will be kicking myself in the ass about not getting them. LOL. :der:

Sweet. I'm looking forward to you getting it mounted and your impressions. Put it on then just swap the 861's in later.
To paint or powder coat? I painted my sliders and my front bumper flat black. Self-etching primer and some rattle cans in your choose of color. The wind will pick up as soon as you start so just expect that. I like paint for a few reasons. It's cheap, it's easy to touch up and with a few good coats it's fairly durable. Powder coating is great but I put that cash towards other things.
I'm still having a hell of a time deciding on who's gonna build my rear. Savage or 4xInno? There's pros and cons to each. People that own them are very happy with both companies. First world problems. lol

Well, I need to replace the old body mounts with my SS poly solid body mounts, then, in theory, the springs should not be too hard. I need to do a test fit, but will have to try to get a hand over here to make that happen without breaking my back. I got a powder coating quote of something between $200-250. If I don't go that route, I will probably do the POR-15 with paint sealing finish in semi-gloss black. I have been draggin ass as I have a small mountain of parts sitting a few feet away that need to get worked into my build. LOL.
I would be happy with either of those bumpers. Savage and 4X Innovations make solid products. I suppose the advantage with the Savage would be weight, perhaps slightly higher clearance, and it seems like if you were motivated, you could come up with additional DIY options given the modular aspect. But I really like the solid look of the 4X Innovations options. I like their latch mechanism better than other options I have seen. It also looks very robust in case someone runs into it.
This is our busy season, so I will have to see when I can get everything sorted out.

Nice bumper! Just FYI, if you use spring compressors to install your 861s it goes super easy. Just take the tires off, let the axle fully droop, compress your current springs, pull them out, compress the 861s, and put them in. It's way easier than trying to squeeze them in with the axle flexed and what not. I wish I would have installed my 7 wraps like this the first time. No need to remove any bolts or anything other than the wheels.

Im waiting on my front to be finished,i didnt order a rear but now im thinking about it before the front ships,is it worthbit to have the swing out tire carrier vs leaving tire in stock location,what kind of weight difference is there after you take off the stock bumper and hitch?My rig is mainly daily driver and camping rig,no hard trails etc.

My reason was
A) spare wouldn't fit any more
B) protection
C) improve departure
You would be adding an extra step to getting into the back, albeit not a difficult one. Also, bike racks and the like will usually need a hitch extension. Not a big deal depending on what you do/ how tall the mast support on the is.
I am very happy with mine and also it looks awesome.

Nice! Well, mine is all here, but I have to wait till I have time, and hopefully, another set of hands to test before I get it Powder Coated. How had is it to wire the extra lights into the reverse lights?

These back-up lights actually came with a full harness so I am going to run them up to a switch on the dash so I can switch them on anytime. I don't want them coming on automatically when in parking lots and other public places when in reverse.

Not hard. I'm using a high/off/low toyota fan switch with the bridge between high and low cut to make it on/off/on so it's selective-
on
off
auto-on with the reverse lights

Road Bull I just realized you replied to my earlier post. So sorry I missed it. I see you got your bumpers. I hope you're enjoying yours as much as I am mine! I kinda wish I'd sprung for the rear light pockets now that I see yours. I'm pondering some backup light options now myself.

Ha! No worries man. I am digging my swing out quite a bit. As far as the light cutouts for the rear bumper go, I would imagine it would not be terribly difficult to have a welder cut a couple holes wherever you want them in the back and do the additional plating on the inside or whatever is necessary to make it work. I currently don't have anything in there but might look into it after I get my additional fuse box sorted out.

Hi [MENTION=5345]habanero[/MENTION] (great name btw) I'm jumping into an old thread here because I just fit a 4xI bumper on my 2001 SR5 with chrome fender trim, like yours. You and [MENTION=56515]CHIN[/MENTION] are among the few with photos. Planning on starting to paint tomorrow with POR-15 and still deciding finish coat, but mostly curious about whether you just got used to the width at the fenders, or decided to put flares on at some point to line things up? I think I"ll get used to it and don't really need or even want flares, but looking for other experiences!
The SS body mounts made a difference to the point of I can't remember the last time I have heard the body hit the bumper. Well worth it for me.
When moderate wheeling here in MO I have yet to have the tire hit anything on a depart. Bottom of bumper, yes, a little, but not tire.
I just went out and measured. In my case the bottom of the spare is 32" from the ground (so a little less aired down) and 22" beyond the bumper plate.
Most of the time on vacation there's a hitch bike rack on my truck, the base of which sits below the tire by several inches. When the extension is in the lower position (sits a couple of inches below the bumper) it hits steps somewhat often, if they're tall enough. When it's flipped to the higher position it rarely hits during moderate wheeling- again below the tire. If I get a chance to do Fins again I'll have to let you know- but I'm taking the bikes and rack off for that one!

The bikes and rack are in way more harms' way than the tire and I've yet to (knock on wood!) bend a wheel or damage the rack due to a hit. Break a few rubber straps, yeah, but I was a saggy bottom with toasted Billies. This year I am un-saggy with new Tokikos!
I am currently having a hitch rack modified to work better when wheeling....

Mine has conveyor belting I'd added previously to keep rocks and crud from flinging onto others when I'm on pavement....hard to see, but it's there. If it weren't there I'd still be good with extra width, got used to the look as it is pretty quickly. Things have changed a bit since those pics, between the front bumper, sliders and rear bumper it balances out nicely, imo.
