i got my new tires mounted! 285/75r16 BFG Mud Terrain KM2's rub on my pinch weld pretty bad but nothing a BFH cant fix.

Lookin sweet! I have km2's on my Toyota pickup rock rig and I love em. Usually air down to 15 and they wrap around anything!

well last weekend I scored a awesome deal on no other than an ARB bumper!!
in order to get it for my unbeatable price I had to remove my stock bumper in the dead of night for a last minute trade.
seconds after I put it on, love the look!
I finished installing my rock lights and installed some small LED lights on my bumper. I used my factory fog light harnesses for now
I really have to snag my moms camera for some better quality photos :sobbing:

how was the install with the ARB?? any advice with your experience putting it on??

the install took less than 25 minutes, it was super simple! chop off the 4runner bumper brackets then shove on the ARB, as of now I haven't done the end cap mod but I plan on doing it soon.
edit: make sure you have a buddy to help you while mounting, its a 2 person job

end cap mod is welding on a plate so its not just an open hole??

Q: what did you cut the bumper brackets with?
Do you know if you can ever mount your factory bumper ever again after?

when i cut mine off i used a 3" cut off wheel and buzzed the 3, 1/2 inch tach welds that held them on. once i got them cut down i took a hammer and knocked them off. simple and easy as that. If i ever wanted to install the bumper again, i would just have to realign the existing tach welds, then re-weld them back in place. super easy and no measuring required for re-welding.

that's a bit of overkill but something along the lines of that.
the bumper weighs around 100 lbs so if you're feeling manly it can be a one man job. you just have to line up the frame rails with the bumper mounts while you're holding it up.
and lastly im sure you could weld your old mounts back on if you want to go back to stock

So long overdue update, went to hidden falls again and did some more intense wheeling. our lead vehicle for the day was this tube buggy which was a 1st gen at one point.,
our final trail of the day ended up being impassable for an unlocked vehicle so the greyb tema trails and i had to fins our own way to the top of the hill we were climbing, we ended up going down an atv trail. this atv trail was too narrow for the FJ and I and we ended up with a predicament about 50 feet from the top.
we used my spotter as a counterweight so i wouldn't hit my door on the tree to the left of the picture. the outcome of the atv trail was lots of pinstriping and an awesome view.

Oh and i will be ordering a new rack & pinion soon, since mine is leaking and noisy af at low speed. also i will be looking for some tundra brakes as my rotors are warped
