4x4 Indicator Flickers, then goes off

So, Iw as testing out the 4x4 so i put it in neutral and moved the thing down to 4Hi. In the dash, the green 4x4 light flickered a little, then went off. Im not even sure it engaged, but i'm pretty sure it did. any ideas what that could be?

It flickered first? Check the bulb. And check to make sure you're really in 4wd, that'll tell you what to look at next.

First, auto or manual trans?
Second, when you put it in 4Lo what happens? Does the light light? Is it in Low range?

could just be a mis adjusted t case shifter if its auto. or a bad switch

Where can one buy the switch that goes on the side of the transmission of transfer case? The wire that comes out of mines is broken out.

It is one the left side of the cases and a wire sticks out of it and I know that does the 4wd indicator.
