5/7 big bear

We ended up doing 2n33 all the way through to hwy 18. Pretty sweet ride, there was a decent amount of snow bout half way in and all through out to Lake Arrowhead. It started coming down on us hard on the 18. All in all a great day.

Nice shot. Sounds like you guys had a good time.

I went up on Saturday (5/7/17) and came back down on Sunday (5/8/17). Did the whole 40+ mile climb using trails only. Here's a video with a few snapshots. If you want to see the Sunday morning frosty forest, skip to: 9:02 on the video.

Hey [APOP], what trail was that? I would like to try that.

the roads listed at the beginning, was that your route?

Yes, that was the route going up, and in reverse order coming back down. Plan to stop at Bear Creek crossing - there are nice areas to make a camp fire and it's about half way there. The creek has wild trout, but you do need a license, and it's a limit of 2 per person. I didn't fish, but relying the info. You can also camp there overnight if you so choose to.
