5 Voodoo Blue Pros sitting within a 50 mile radius of me.

When was the last time you could find 5 TRD Pros, in the signature color, just sitting on lots for months and discounted? Used to be that they were all pre sold or gone within a few days on the lot. And they went at MSRP or better. No one likes Voodoo blue??? Roof rack??? Coming 2020 upgrades?? Price increase??? What’s your guess?

I could imagine that color is not as popular as Toyota would like it to be. To me, after a few days, it will get old fast.

That being said, there are 3 Super White TRD Pros and 3 Black TRD Pros in Charlotte, NC alone. I think the fact that the dealers think they are god's gift to mankind and are unwilling to negotiate on the price is pushing people away.

i would think the upgrades to the '20 is probably the biggest reason...followed by the color...while i think it is really cool, i dont know if i would love it every day after a while...

I agree. I’ve been really tempted to visit a few of these dealerships and see what kind of a deal I could work out. It looks pretty cool in person but I’m wondering if it will wear on me after a couple months of looking at it.

Yeah - I've been in the market to buy a TRDP since the beginning of this year, but wanted to wait for the 2020 after seeing the press release they had earlier this year.

Honestly, they probably shot themselves in the foot when they introduced the improvements so early before release.

Saw a voodoo blue with the new rack for the first time in person this weekend and did ot like it personally. Color doesnt fit a 4runner to me and rack is too tall for my taste

I purchased mine 2 months ago for ~$3200 under MSRP.

I don't know why anyone would ever pay MSRP for one as a plane ticket is way cheaper than the discounts some dealers routinely give for these if you look around and are willing to travel... :shrug:

Auto industry as a whole is down, thats why you see Pros sitting on dealer lots.
Raptor market is dead... GT Porsche market is dead.. They made too many of the Raptors and Porsche GT cars , thankfully Toyota doesnt do that with the Pros.
My buddy in the auto business told me that buyers cant get financed now or are so buried in their trades that they cant get any deals done.
Its staggering how many people have taken out 72 month or 84 month car loans...

I believe Toyota has ramped up the production numbers for the PRO models, I too have recently noticed many 2019 PROs sitting on the dealers lots. My local Toyota dealer in a rural area never received the 4R Pros and now they have 2-3 on the lot. Back in 2015 when I purchased this was unheard of.

In the two years I've been looking/buying there never was the level of incentives across the board for any trim level of 4r, this early in the year. What's the reason? Who knows, overall sales dropping? Hold outs for announced 2020 line-up? Hold outs for yet to be announced refresh?


And there's groove sitting on 20 pro's, all marked up, lol. They're the biggest clown show ever.

Admittedly, VooDoo Blue was not my first color choice, seeing that the 2020 model was right around the window, and that Grey would be available on the TRD Pro, and with the features that the 2020 model has over the 2019...

But, $3500 off sticker, coupled with the fact I'm an impulse buyer, and he I am the owner of a 2019 VooDoo Blue TRD Pro.

I will say, the color has grown on me. I've also received tons of compliments on it. I'm happy with the purchase!

E.g. 98052 within 50 miles there are 11 Brand New 2019 TRD Pros for sale.

7 are white
3 are black
1 is voodoo blue

Clearly, blue is the issue ...

Sitting on 20 marked up pros seems insane, a dealer near me had 6 marked up 5K over msrp in the past month, they all sold.

Why wouldn’t someone from Colorado fly out east and pay $3k under MSRP instead of $5K over? With the $8K they’d save, that’s a hell of a vacation on the way back. Strippers and cocaine the whole way back!!
