Congrats on the purchase! Did you read the manual for proper break-in procedures? I think it says something along the lines of don't drive at a constant speed for the first few hundred miles, ie. no long highway road trips, lol.
I would try and vary my speed up and down a bit on your way home if I was you, have a safe trip!

Translated that mean "drive fast UNTIL you see a cop then slow down"...lol j/k
Enjoy the drive...these things don't break-in until 100,000 miles anyway.

Nah I jest, Ive been revving it every now and again but ranging at speeds from 30-90. The wind has my steering wheel looking like I need an alignment![MENTION=85512]eddiebx[/MENTION] on a side note I can't remember which one but I remember an 'EddieBX' from another message board (Maybe it was Honda Related not sure it you're the same person [my SN used to be The Acclude everywhere]

[MENTION=85512]eddiebx[/MENTION]: Did you not remember how I spent my first 2K miles with my TE? Yeah, I pulled a 4K tandem trailer starting at 200 miles on the odometer. I did not have to worry about varying speeds, the trailer did it for me! Congrats on the purchase though. Enjoy!

I just checked the weather in El Paso and it looks like snow for the next two days with highs of 33-37. You may be testing out the 4x4 soon enough. Drive safe and post pictures.
Can anyone find any news on the wreck outside of Sierra Blanca, TX? 1.5 of parking lot traffic. I hopped the median but no need for 4WD yet
It appears that whatever the problem is ends and the traffic color turns green dead on the start of the exit ramp #105 for Wells Ranch Road.

1. Not too bad definitely firm but adjusting the lumbar helped.
2. The wind was a headwind or from either side, never a tail so I had a few nervous moments where larger trucks flew by me and I wondered how they did it lol, Just need to get used to driving a parasail.
3.I had a led foot. 80% of the way I was getting 13-15mpg. On the last tank I used mostly cruise control/kept it in the ECO range, and kept it under 70 and got exactly 20 mpg through the first 1/2 tank.
4. Aside from missing a few sirius channels and not being able to get my iphone to sync (they did it at the dealership) So far so great.
**I asked where the rear wiper was and they said it didn't have one with the roll down rear I discovered it after simply looking / fiddling with the lever.

I'll chime in based on a 450 mile drive home from the dealership two weekends ago.
1. The seats are exceptionally comfortable. More so than my '09 Sport Edition, with more width and bigger / deeper bolsters. In fact I pulled into a rest stop and put the seat way back...then slept like a baby. I could never have done that in the 4th Gen.
2. It's remarkable how much different the 5th Gen drives from 4th, and it's very easy on you. The steering with KDSS feels more exact than XREAS. While the initial response to acceleration off the line is much quicker in the 4th Gen, once you are up to speed the newer model feels more solid somehow.
I don't have to put the seat all the way back now, and the additional head room plus the more vertical windshield make the interior feel much larger.
3. I was driving pretty easy and varying speeds a lot for break in purposes. That being said I averaged 23.82 MPG, and I have to say the green ECO light really helps there.
4. Call me crazy, but I thought my previous non NAV / non JBL radio sounded better than the NAV / Entune one. The NAV screen is noticeably smaller than my wife's Venza. Plus it doesn't show the lines as you're backing up (maybe there a setting that can be added for that?).
On the plus side the Optitron gauges are wonderful, moreover the info screen above the radio is as good as you could ask for.
