5100's & 99 talls up front - what to do for rear?

99 LTD 4wd stock

I've got a set of KYB shocks/struts for my 4Runner and am getting ready to tackle them and get an alignment in the next few weeks, but was thinking about trying to get a quick easy 1" while I'm at it and save myself some work. My runner will be a DD and I don't plan on doing any wheeling. I have the for the occasional dirt road, field and some snow in winter, but other than that she will be on pavement.

I have searched but have become a bit overwhelmed by all the info. From what I have found, I can get an easy inch by using Tacoma 5100's on the 3rd setting. For those who have this setup up front, what did you do for the rear? Will spacers cause premature wear on the rear like they do on the front? Which coils will give me the desired lift? Can I use the rear KYB's I already have?

99 talls for the rear of you want it level. Ome 906 if you'd like an inch of rake. Don't have it myself, but that's the route I'd go. The 906s will also be a bit stiffer than factory.

My truck is a 99', so I'm assuming I already have the 99 talls all the way around. From what I have read the Billies will give me 1-1.5" up front on the talls, but I would still need to do something for the rear. I'm thinking of just going with the Daystar 1.5" spacer for the rear, and should be able to use the KYB stock length shocks, as I'm not really worried about too much rear extension. I just want to get a tad more height and hopefully stop the rub on my 265/75/16s at full turn.

Another dumb question. It looks like there are a few 3" lifts for the front out there for around the same cost as a new pair of 5100s would be. Does that 3" only count for non-99 runners? Meaning, if I bought a 3" lift that included new springs would I only see a 1.5" difference because I already have the talls?

I am going to say you will not see a full 3" lift, but I do not know this from experience. I would either do the spacer in the rear or a set of OME coils.
