5100's and towing?

I know the question on which setting people like for the front end leveling using 5100's has been beaten to death but after an exhaustive search I haven't seen anyone chime in with actual reports of if people are seeing a reverse rake when towing or hauling.

I am town between the 2nd and 3rd settings for the front end. It seems like many guys that have gone with the 3rd setting seems to think the truck is perfectly level, but my question is has anyone done any towing or hauling with the 3rd settings up front and if so have they had a negative rake or poor handling?

Have guys with the 2nd setting done much towing or hauling? If so, are you happy with the results?

I have noticed this both towing and fully loaded down with the family and gear. I am installing the airlift 1000 system to bring it back to level when towing and toting as that seems to be the best fit for towing with a leveled runner.

^^ Most on here who tow much echo this sentiment.

I set mine at the .85 position, and IMO the truck is almost perfectly level.

The 5100's are going to firm up your ride, and provide better stability, but you should not count on them to counteract the effect of tongue weight regardless of their front setting.

I made multiple trips last summer heavily loaded inside with flagstone, and she sagged pretty good.

Well if you level it out empty, and then tow, what do you expect to happen?

If you leave the rake, and then you hook up a trailer, it's level. Even with 5100's. Cars get leveled. Trucks ... well, it's a free country, bro.

I agree. I installed Bilstein HD's which are the 5100's minus the extension for lift. When I tow it pretty much levels out.

5100s on all corners leveled out but need the 1000s for towing and loaded down. Not really a surprise for me, just didn't do it at exactly the same time as the level. It sits almost perfectly level unloaded but now I can keep that ride stance under load. It is a very good setup in my opinion.
