Anyone got pics of there t4r with bilstein 5100s set up, fronts set up at 1.75 and rear 1inch spacers? I just wanted to make sure thats the set up im going with.
I don't have any great pictures but hope these help.
There's also quite a few people who stacked 2 10mm OME spacers but didn't look high enough to me:

Yup. You sure do. I said BODY leveled. There is a slight reverse rake in the frame, but the measurements from the ground to the tops of the fenders front and rear is the same with a 1.75 front and 0 rear. And the roofline sits level. But what do I know. I only had it installed, loaded it, and drove it for 10 months like that. My left leg is longer than my right one also. Glad I could be of no help. Again....

Hey guys. Thought I'd post this in this thread so all of the info/questions are in one place.
My situation: 90% on road with the occasional off road (to get to an awesome camping spot or doing some trails rated for stockers). I recently purchased a Shrockworks front bumper because they look freakin awesome! (I'll admit, I am a web wheeler!) I dont want to lift more that 2" so I can retain a stockish ride or better (open to ideas). Currently I have stock tires/rims and I dont have any intentions on going with a larger tire size at the moment.
Question: What is the best lift option for me? I was thinking about Full OME, but dont really want to lift that high. I need something that will support the weight of the front bumper w/o winch. I've read about the Bilstien 5100, but was afraid they wont support the added weight up front.

If you want to keep tires the same, just get a some spacers for the front to level it. Or read the stickies even more, read more posts, and next thing you know you'll be like, "How do I fit 35s?"
The more i read the more i think the leveling kit is the way to go. But i also think your right and i will eventually be getting bigger tires. Thanks!

It's a mix of Bilstein 5100's, OME 885 front springs and Toytec Superflex rear springs. Everything is listed in post #1 of my build thread linked in my sig line.

If there a lift for dummies thread somewhere? I'm mechanically challenged, but want to learn. Right now, I'm struggling to understand how 2.5" in the front and a 1.5" lift in the rear equals level.
I don't want much of a lift. Just looking to improve the parade float like ride quality on pavement without sacrificing the stock offroad capabilities of my Trail. Plan on putting BFG 275 KO2's on once I have some miles on these Dunlop AT 20's and like for them not to rub. Sounds like what you're describing is what I want.

The truck starts with about an inch of rake stock, meaning the front starts lower. When you lift the front more than the back it levels things out.
Based on your comments, bilstein shocks all a round with the front set higher would work and be cheap, search for one of the bilstein threads and you can learn a lot.

This thread like so many others has been super helpful. So after months of thread reading here is what I'm looking at and would love your opinions.
Looking into either 5100's or 6112's with 5100's in the rear. I do not want much lift (1-1.25") and want to keep some of the stock rake just minimize it (not completely leveled) and reduce nose dive. I know that the 6112 spec wise (and by a lot of research on this site) are a better shock, but the spring rate is very soft. As of now it would probably be the perfect set up to put the 6112's at the .5 setting, add 5100's in the back with a OME 10mm spacer and call it a day, although probably overkill since about 95% of my driving is paved roads and will only be doing light to medium trails when I do go off road. If i were eventually to add a bumper/winch up front are there any springs that fit the 6112 with a heavier spring rate? I don't want to compress the shock further by lifting it more, taking away from travel and the combined characteristics of the coilover. Or is it a better idea to save the money, add 5100's all around with stock coils, set it to .85 add a 10mm OME spacer and then if the mods come later just add stiffer springs?
Oh, and yes budget is a factor but if the 6112's are really that much better I could splurge if its possible to have them save me more $ by not having to upgrade the suspension to an Icon or Boss in the future but just adding stiffer springs.

personally, that's what i'd do.
and by golly, that's what i did, except i added the Toytec 620lb springs up front...rear 5100s haven't been slapped on yet, but when they do, i'll also be putting in 2 of the OME spacers. those 620lb coils brought the front end up right around 2", which is more than I was expecting. (5100s set on 0).
this setup was rather inexpensive (especially with the 20% off i got on the 5100s via Jet.com), and when the time comes, i won't feel bad about replacing it all.

No, you want to make it easy on yourself lol. Everything you ever wanted to know about lifts and suspensions are contained in this subforum. You might have to actually look for it though.
