5th Gen custom bump stops. need some input

Kinda like when people are too stupid to know/admit that something they did something that was... well... f’n stupid.

Perfect example. Jeep, it is competition, what happens when you talk about a Jeep in a 4runner forum? :doh:

When it comes to the price being cheap thats not really a selling point for some. Its more of a red flag in some cases. The product looks pretty cool the question im now wondering is... is it the same (because of your reaction mostly). And team4runner asked is the warranty the same...

Less complaining and more answering would lead to a productive conversation... ;)

Look, I don't want any of this on my thread.

Several forum members, as well as myself, found the guy representing Timbren Industries posting in my thread with their competitive product as poor. I personally would not post my competitive product on my competitor's thread. I think the reality is that no one would like that. We all have to have some level of class and professionalism or who cares how good the product is... Right??

All of my customers have become friends of mine because I am the customer service, laborer and designer. I do it all. I have gotten to know so many great people and have made many good friends while doing this. It's been a lot of fun. As can be seen in this thread and others of mine, I am developing a loyal following. I'm very proud to see these guys speaking up and I appreciate my base supporting me, as I support them! Who are you to say that they "are bias to your little buddy"? The truth is we are buddies, but it began as a customer first. If my product was crap he would have been here running his mouth about getting burned and buying a bad product. We became friends only because my customer service and product passed the test! There's no need to be offensive to anyone, especially on T4R, where we're all Toyota enthusiast that come here to escape all the BS life brings. Let's keep it clean and let's keep it classy for everyone's sake. Tone is difficult to portray in a forum and can easily be misinterpreted.

As far as price point is concerned, I've never heard anyone complain about Wheeler's Super-Bumps price or say that the quality was poor because of the price point. People like value, quality products and good customer service. People really like Wheeler's customer service as well, I know I have. So I can't say that quality or customer service have to suffer to have a fair price point. For anyone driven by high prices please feel free to pay more than my asking price. It would be much appreciated...

I do not offer a lifetime warranty at this time. It has nothing to do with the quality of my product at all. I stand behind my work 100% and since my customers are also able to directly contact the man in charge of everything, I think that gives them some peace of mind.

There is not even a small part of me that thinks I'm competing against Timbren. I am making a high quality competitive product in a very select narrow market. Timbren has made great products for 50+ years and has been the go to source for all major brand auto manufacturers. The truth is Timbren Corporate could give two sheets about me. I'm not even a speck on their radar.

Sorry for the book, I just want to take the opportunity to clear the air and let my customers know once again just how thankful and appreciative I am of each and every one of you!!

No worries man I was actually just trying to kill all the back and forth since its all silly and blown out of proportion lol and instead triggered keyboard warriors more lol

Back to the topic at hand, the product looks cool besides it being cheaper and looks a little bit are there any differences in the product materials to timbren

These bumpstops seem great, it's too bad any of this commenting got immature. Always a bummer to see when all us 4runner guys are supposed to be on the same side.

AAAAANNYYWHOOOOOOOO.

I ordered mine on monday, and got them tuesday. Had to go to home depot to get a new set of tongue and groove pliers big enough to remove the old bump stops, and had to jack the runner up to get a socket in to tighten the new ones. If i had a floor jack and the pliers already, this would have been a 5 minute job. I haven't driven on them yet, but I am going camping this weekend and will report back.
