5th Gen......does anyone know if it is going to have a 3rd row seat?

From the specs I have seen the limited will be standard with 3rd row seats. Frankly, I wish it were an option.

We should know for sure this week.
It will have a 3rd row seat, but on the 4th generation they are a waste of money and space. I strongly suspect that will be true of the 5th generation 4Runner as well.
If you actually need to use your 3rd row seat, you'll probably need a larger vehicle than a 4th or 5th gen 4Runner. You can actually use the Sequoia 3rd row seats. If you need 3rd row seats, I agree with your wife. Get the Sequoia instead.

3rd row seats in a 4Runner are a freakin' gimmick/marketing ploy. You'd be better off sitting in the cargo compartment on a shooters mat... "Oh look honey, it's got a third row, we can put people in it if we need too", yeah BS... Kinda hard to hit the kids when they are that far back too.
If you need to put more than 5 people in a vehicle (other than a really short hop), you need a bigger vehicle than a 4Runner, buy a mini-van.

Exactly, I specifically didn't want them on mine. I would pay not to have them and I think they're an option according the pics posted.
According to the U.S. Ordering Guide PDF, the third-row seats will be an option on both the Limited and the SR5, but will not be available at all on the Trail Edition.
