5th gen foot courtesy led?

Ok, forgive me if I'm missing the obvious, but I've searched as much as I can and haven't found what I'm looking for. There are plenty of great posts on how to add foot courtesy lights (or ambient/always-on versions). What I can't find is anyone that has upgraded the Limited's existing amber courtesy light. Are there drop-in LED upgrades? I'd like something brighter than the amber ones and if they could match my cool white LEDs I just swapped in everywhere else, that would be perfect.

It looks like a single bulb down under the dash on each side, but how to get to them and if they can just be swapped like the other bulbs?

Those lights are hard wired into the wiring harness. I just added two LED panels by splicing into the wiring for the existing single amber LED.

Only one problem though. The circuit for the stock LED's has a dimmer function. When you're in park with the engine running the lights are at full intensity. When you put the vehicle into Drive the lights only dim but do not go completely dark. My panels do the same but with the extra LED's it stays pretty bright at night. I just ordered some switches which I will install to be able to completely turn off my LED panels but the amber LED's will act like stock configuration.
