Toyo 285/50 R20 Open Country

No Adjustments needed and no rubbing! My guy at Les Schwab said they went on just like stock.

Very nice tires. Found them in LA on Ebay for a bargin @$99, but shipping them home to Florida is too expensive. I want a set for my 2010 T4R. Will keep looking. Thanks for the info on these.

I was originally a bit "put off" by how slim they looked - but honestly, they have worked just fine for me here in Dallas for what I do. I will find a better tire when they need to be replaced, I just didn't want to shell out the $$ for new tires until these had run thier course. I'm at 27k miles now, and the tires still have plenty of life. I'm thinking they will make it to 50k miles. My tires on my 4th gen lasted almost 3 1/2 years (nearly 52k miles) before I had to replace those.

I know it's an old post, but just wondering if you've replaced your stock LE tires yet? I also have a 12 LE with 33K and will be looking for some replacements in the next year or so. I have all stock equipment and there's not many options for replacements. I checked the For Sale page but no one selling LE stock tires. Appreciate any info you have...I also live here in Big D.

I was under the impression that 285's were not rated for a 7" rim??

Also when I check the tire calc these are smaller in diameter than the stocks.

They're not. You'll find that nothing above (in terms of width) is once you get above 255/55 R20's. To my knowledge, no one has had an issue running 275/55 R20's and there are many threads on the subject.

Everyone keeps saying that the 2012 limited has 7" wide rims, but everything I've found says they're 7.5" rims. I checked the toyota press release and Edmunds and they both say 7.5". Any idea which is accurate or why some say 7" and others 7.5"?

The size is stamped on the inside of the wheel and quite a few on here have snapped pics to confirm that it is a 7" wide wheel. You'll need to search to find the pics, but the confusion has been resolved. You could even take a look at your spare wheel to confirm for yourself.
