Funny thing today: I was hauling a few hundred lbs of concrete, water and posts down a doubletrack in the 4Runner today. Headed to a singletrack trail head so we could do some repairs and improvements for our mtn bike trail. Anyway, I needed to turn around in a super tight section and I needed to fold my mirrors in...

As of tonight, all available JDM Fortuner and Hilux mirrors have been sold out from what my vendor had emailed me earlier today.
Please PM all your folding mirror labor/wiring/mechanical/electrical questions to [MENTION=65614]Antman[/MENTION] as I am merely the Project Mirror Mayhem "consultant" for JDM parts. I will be more than happy to answer any questions about sourcing parts for anyone, but Jeff is the guy you want to talk to to do this conversion if his comprehensive pictures and directions are out of your DIY comfort zone.
As for parts, I will be happy to source them for anyone who is interested at a highly likely possible discounted price with my good friend vendor from the other side of the planet, whom I have ordered more than $1000+ USD in parts from in the short span of 2-3 weeks. Please feel free to keep this project alive by responding to this amazing DIY thread, another one of many, courtesy of Dr. [MENTION=65614]Antman[/MENTION]!

I will wait until 4Runner comes out with power folding mirrow and then get it, but I'm sure you will come up with something new. Toyota can't keep up with your intelligence and imagination. Yes but you will need to do some dremel work to the plastic behind the mirror itself. The JDM puck is different.

Thoughts everyone?Dr. [MENTION=65614]Antman[/MENTION] 's re-wired mirrors have arrived!
Wanted to share some photos. Haven't gotten them installed yet because the JDM mirror covers are at the body shop to get painted. Should have them back by Friday, and I will post plenty more pics and videos of them in action once I have them all installed.
Can't thank [MENTION=65614]Antman[/MENTION] enough. You can see how OCD detailed and thorough he was with the wire job, zip ties, wire connectors, instructions and all. Truly Grade A professional and OEM quality. This guy is truly one awesome man!
Onto the pics...
I should have these babies installed sometime this coming weekend and will update the thread accordingly. Thanks again Jeff!
And for anyone who is still interested in this project, you are more than welcome to shoot me a PM as far as parts go...and simple install stuff. Jeff's been the one who did all the hard work with wiring so more complicated questions I would suggest PM or texting him. I will be more than happy to help any of us 4R boys and girls as much as I can who want to do this conversion to their truck.
