2013 Running board Ordering and Install. Installed onto SR5 4runner WITH mudflaps. (cleared mudflaps just fine). Hope this helps you.

1) Ordering:
Ordered these: Toyota OEM part: 00016-89040, 4 runner running board, short. Found them for $308 delivered.

Details: Original Toyota Running board: Nonslip on top, aluminum core, rubberized end caps, and nifty rubber trim that tucks under the car.

Tools:
1/2in drive, 12 mm and 13mm socket.
1/2 in drive extension.

Install:
See Pictures below:

Tips:
-Lay the cardboard from the running board next to the car for install.
-LONGER bolts/Washer/Lock washer are for BOLTING the new brackets to the CAR. SHORTER bolts slip into the slots on the running board, hold the running board to the brackets.
-Bolts removed from the truck are discarded and replaced with new ones.
-The rubber seal attached installs TOWARD the vehicle, and slips under the vehicle edge.
-1/2" drive with 4" extension (no ratchet at first) was the easiest way to get the bolts started in the holes.
-NEW Brackets install OVER the existing brackets, and are bolted with NEW longer (30mm) bolt/washer/lockwasher).
-Once all nuts are installed on running board, you'll notice it can push the running board IN OR OUT, I pulled mine all the way out, then tightened.
-The running board can slide LEFT or RIGHT before tightening. I aligned the rear edge of the running board with the edge of the fender. This gave about 1.5: clearance on the FRONT between the running board and Mud Flap.
-Good Luck. Pretty simple install, need to be patient.

Seems more than one person here has complained about a shortage of useful foot space on these OEM boards. Not much to step on to.

Also - in step 2 above - you are told to remove bolts from existing brackets. I have a 2014 4Runner SR5. The are bolts where you see them above, but no existing brackets anywhere along the underside?

OEM running boards? I practically gave mine away. Went with after market... OEM "look" but much thinner footprint. (less that $300)

Thanks. They make boards only for the 2014 Limited; not the Trail or SR5.

If you have a 2014 4Runner SR5, you will not see the "existing" mounting brackets underneath that are displayed above in the first post. Neither Dee Zee nor Westin make boards for the 2014 either. It would seem they are going to have to include the "existing" brackets that Toyota did not include on the 2014 4Runner SR5 or come up with a whole new design . Not sure what Toyota did on the other 2 models.

thats because the 2014 with a TE style rocker. Only the limited retained the fiberglass rocker like the 10 - 13 SR5/Limited. The "existing" bracket is the bracket that holds the rocker on. Your best bet is NFabs. Personally I like them better than mine

Looked into OEM boards at my local dealer, and they said they can't get any for a 2013 SR5. Anyone have any experience with Steelcraft STX100 or STX200 boards?
