5th Gen Spotted Thread

Spotted this TRDPro on 95 just south of Baltimore City. Wife thought it amusing when he cut over 2 lanes to give me the thumbs up and a honk, lol.

If you are on here, I wish you would have stayed behind me at the toll both- I had you covered...

Spotted a mag grey or black lifted 10-13 with I think aftermarket wheels driving in Wildernest up on Summit county this weekend. Looked like you pointed, I waved and you waved back. On here?

I'm still trying to decipher what kind of make that truck is....Thinking its time to trade in that StarTAC?

I think I saw the same one about a month ago on I-70 Eastbound headed toward Baltimore. Had temporary paper tags like in the picture. We were both stuck in the same traffic jam, I saw his wheels two lanes over from underneath a trailer, trucker in the lane between us slowed down enough to let the two of us confirm that we both had the same ride!

Peace sign exchange, a thumbs up and a big grin on each of us. If only the traffic jam wasn't there...

Saw an Inferno Trd Pro this morning in Cranberry township PA, was turning onto 228. First one I have seen. Glad I have a black one on order, town is too small for 2 infernos.

10-13 TE lifted, light bar in the lower grill, Icon sticker and a few others in the rear window, in Moab this afternoon. Think it was a Nevada plate.

Spotted a Mag. Grey 10'-13' SR5/Limited with black wheels and what looked like 33's along with a full length Baja rack parked on King St. near the Chinese Gate in Seattle. This was around 9:15PM.

I posted this in the General Discussions spotted thread, but I wanted to re-post here because I'm so curious.

4Runners are everywhere in Texas; I see several every single day. But they're all bone stock. Maybe---MAYBE---I'll spot an occasional set of aftermarket wheels, but that's pretty much the extent of modifications that I ever see in person, and even that is rare.

But this morning I spotted a black 5th Gen driving west on the I-20 access road near Hudson Oaks, TX (close to Mikus Road). It had aftermarket roof rack, front bumper, lights, wheels---I couldn't tell what else because I was up on the freeway looking down at it.

I NEVER see anything like that in my neck of the woods! Is it a forum member? Who are you? I must know!

About all I see around St. Louis is soccer mom driven 5th gens. I did see adio3x once, but that was a couple years ago.

I live in the PNW, Seattle and you would think you would see lots and lots of 4Runners w/ mods to go accordingly to our wilderness demands. Nope, all I see are modified sports cars, lifted trucks(especially in the sticks), and Subaru's (lots of Legacy's and Foresters). 99% of T4R's are stock. Maybe once in a blue moon do I see a modded one.
