5th Gen T4R Rims

I have a 5thGen SR5 with the 17" rims. Does anyone know if you can put the 4th Gen 18" rims, the Highlander 19" rims or the Limited 20" rims on my SR5?

The 4Runner wheels should all fit as long as they are the 6 lug 5.5 bolt pattern. Highlander, I am not aware of their bolt pattern.

The Limited 20" wheels will fit no problem. I suspect the 4th gens will as well.

That said, I'm not a fan of 20" wheels -- the tires are more expensive, more unsprung weight, lower sidewall reduces protection for the rims, not as good offroad. But, whatever floats your boat...

Highlander wheels will not. 4Runner wheels have 6 lugs; Highlander wheels have 5. You can confirm that by going to toyota.com and looking at the pictures of the 4Runner and Highlander.

My 2 cents: Go on Tire Rack and price the 18" & 20" tires before you change your wheels....they are pretty steep.

I may have stock 20" Limited wheels/tires for sale in the next few weeks. I'm considering buying a 2011 Limited but don't want the stock wheels/tires so may sell them.

it seems like any tire worth a damn is about the same price no matter what size once your above 16", with the exception of 19". For some reason, 19" is the bas**** size.

Thanks all for your input. I like the style T4R 17" but for that size SUV I like the 18" or 19" rim, they should have put 18" on the SR5. I live in New England so I agree the 20" are B/A but our pot holes here can eat those tires low wall. Too bad the Highlander 5-spoke 19" are pretty sweet looking.
