5th gen tv ads

Noticed this week that Toyota is running a 4runner commercial on TV, in SC, Comcast programming. Have never seen one for a 4runner around here. Seems they typically focus heavily on Camry's and Tundras. Wonder if 5th gen sales are struggling in the southeast? Or perhaps Comcast is tracking my internet behavior and targeting me via tv ads? Can they do that? They just sent me a fancy new modem...

I've seen a few on TV and I'd never seen a 4Runner ad previously. Pretty nifty ads showing the outdoors, reminded me of REI. Seems to be the same base that the Cherokee ads are targeting with campers and fishermen, etc.

They must be struggling... SET has been offering 0% for 60 months almost all year, the month after I got mine they did 0% for 72 months.

Nah, I think its to try to advertise the offroad prowess of the 4runner since they gave the ax to the FJ Cruiser.

As you can see here, the 4runner is actually doing better practically every month year over year compared to the previous generation. Toyota is pretty much crushing it.

Toyota 4Runner Sales Figures - GOOD CAR BAD CAR

They are on pace to sell well over 70k units this year.

They've been running TV ads here in the DFW market for several months. The ironic thing is they always feature a Trail Edition and Gulf States Toyota brings in fewer Trails than any other region.

and yes.....just because you arent paranoid, doesnt mean they arent out to get you. lol

Saw one last night on Discovery during Mythbusters. Its got the red Trail Edition and the "Keep it Wild" catchphrase.

I dont think they are hurting... 2014s abound on the streets in FL. I really like the new TEP.... BUT everytime I pull up next to a stock one on th eroad they are staring at mine and I just think "Yep, lifted and paid off":reddance:

Yeah, Toyota runs a scene(commercial) on the USA series Graceland. They drive around on the streets and the beach like they are chasing someone... and arrive at a Taco Truck.

i got a notice about switching ours out.. but.. they say for daster speeds.. i'm sill getting what i should be even a tad higher.. maybe the new modems have that crap in it to track what you search online and use it in your commercials.. and MAYBE thats why their saying "it allows for faster speeds" lol.. who knows.. is yours any faster?

I also saw the 4Runner commercial for the first time last night. Trucks are king here in West TX, but the 4Runners are flying off the lots. My salesman told me the average "on lot" time was 7 days for the 4Runners here. Who knows if that's true or not, but I shopped for 3 months before I purchased and when the dealer got one in I liked, it was gone in under a week. Don't think sales are hurting at all down here.
