650# coils???

Hey 3rd Gen folks.

I'm currently compiling parts for my build. Have an AOR plate front bumper, AOR rear bumper on the way. Getting ready to order Radflo suspension all around (2.5 with resi's), and I'm trying to decide on the spring rate.

Debating 600 vs 650 for the front CO's. I'm adding a winch, skids, and sliders as well.

Wondering if anyone is running 650# front coils or if it's too much.

Is anyone running 600# coils up front and think they aren't too soft for a bumper / winch / skids / sliders?

I think the 600s are sufficient since you can adjust the height to compensate for the weight... I currently have RadFlo 2.0s/600# springs with CBI front bumper and I still think it's a tad stiff... I have em cranked up considering the weight of a winch in the near future and it sits perfect... I'm hoping winch and skids will soften it up to my liking

Your 2.5s will dampen even more, so you might opt for the softer spring rate

Thanks for the feedback. I searched and didn't come up with much pertaining to 3rd gen owners real world experience on 650's vs 600's.

I think it's personal preference really. I've ran 650's, 600's and now 550's. For on road driving I think the 650's handled the best. The 550's are pretty soft, but I like them and I'm not exactly looking to go fast through the corners or anything like that.

Ill play devils advocate here. I run 700s up front with no sway bar on my 2.5 body Icons. I still have plenty of flex in the front. I have a decent amount of extra weight that caused my 650s to just not be enough.
