Update
I delivered the back seats today, had to back off and do other stuff to keep $$ moving....they are tickled pink w/ everything. I brought the door panels home today and will be making an insert of 3M bubinga wood grain down the center of the door panels and making the insert run thru the rear door panels, surrounded by leather w/ the grey topstitching on the top and bottom pcs of leather.
The last pic is a sample of what the door panels are gonna look like, they are also gonna add a stripe of that wood grain across the bottom of the instrument cluster, in a 2" groove running horizontal across the driver's side chrome dash.
The 1/2" sewfoam i made all the seat parts with stands out a bit much for the door panels to let the window crank not leave a wear ring in the panel's leather, so....i lightly spray glued the leather to some 3/16" foam headliner and i stuck the 3M stuff to some regular black vinyl, then topstitched on the leather side. I've never used the 3M stuff before but it seems pretty sturdy as long as u don't leave any unfinished egdes, it rips like paper from an unfinished cut, but seems to hold it's own vs. trying to rip it from the factory edge.
It'll be a long time until they get the car back from the body/paint guy, but i'll def. post pics of the finished package when it's together. Thanks for all the kind words, it's one of those jobs you can be proud of years down the road.
