861 coils in back of my 4runner

Today I install my 861 coils. They are shorter than the stock LC 9 wraps but are a higher spring rate. I'm sure they will settle a little. With my daily weight the LCs measured 23.75 (hub center to wheel well lip) and the 861s came out at 25", a gain of 1.25". I wasn't looking for much of a gain of lift but more carrying capacity of camping and wheeling gear without squatting. Time will tell.

Stock 9 wraps on the left and the 861s on the right.

I drove about 20 miles and it felt great. I'll get a profile picture posted soon.
(PS, the B coil is taller so I put it on the drivers side. It came out perfectly level)

Nice man! I think you'll like the 861s a lot. Mine settled down about 1" after a couple months. And I agree, they do ride great!

This may be a stupid question, but what are the 861s meant for? are they springs meant for a Landcruiser?

Stuffing the 861s.

They stuffed well. I wasn't fully loaded and they almost touched the bumpstops.

Comparing to the stock heights http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/74404-height-measurements-help-wanted.html it looks like I'm sitting at ~5" of rear lift at this point.

Hey Gerdo, in the first picture how much gear do you have in the rear? My rig is sitting level right now and I am considering the 861s because I want the rake. I have a rear bumper with swing out as well. Thanks.

The side profile shot would have been right after the install. I'm sure that there isn't any extra gear (above my storage drawers, tools and basic camp gear. It has settled some, maybe 1/2"-1".
I'm still very happy with them, flex, ride and carrying capacity.
