88' runner with 3.0/ automatic trans problem

Alright guys, my 4runner has 220k miles on. Runs fairly decent and tranny shifts well. I noticed at URE last month, when i put it in park position and shut the engine off it will roll almost like its in neutral. If the engine is running it will be fine as if it truly is in park. This problem has me pretty confused. Any help will be appreciated.

Seems really odd? The park pawl doesn't care if the truck is on or not. Are you saying you can put the truck facing downhill with the engine running and put it in Park and it'll stay put? And if you turn it off, it will roll forward?
