If that were true they would be softer than 890s. The 890 spring rate is lower than the 891. (190lbf/in vs 210)
How'd I write that? I meant to say I had the 890s and they had the lowest spring rate. Sorry bout that.

I've got 890's they ride really well, and paired with the tundra 5100's I get nice damping. No complaints. I've had it loaded down with ~200# and rode really well, and empty I get a nice firm ride (like a truck!) I don't think there's that much of a difference between the two. I'd probably bump up to the 891 if I go steel bumper and tire carrier, but that would be a bunch of weight off the back... I think it's being overthought here. Keep it simple.
