91 4runner v6 4x4 overheating tranny help

I need some help to figure out what is wrong with my 4runner. It's a 91 v6 4x4 with auto trans. I added a transmission cooler the first time the transmission oil temp light came on and that didn't help. I was driving to work this morning and the light came on so I pulled over and let the car idle untill the transmission was cool enough for the AT fluid light to go off. Now the car will not move while in 2wd. The only way I can get the car to move is if I put it in 4WD L. The speedometer is also not working. I should mention that the speedometer was making a loud buzzing noise and the needle was very bouncy. And now when the car is in 4WD L the speedometor don't work at all.

I guess my question would be is the speedometer problem in any way related to the overheating transmission? Also why won't the car move in 2WD and only in 4WD L? Any tips or knowledge is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
