93 4runner Dash won't light up when lights are on

I turned my car on tonight, and as it started to get dark i turned my lights on, and normally when the headlights are on, the dash light and gear selector lights come on so I can see what I'm doing at night.. This is very dangerous driving at night and I need help.. I have absolutely no clue what it might be..

Please help!!
