Said he'd take $4000. That a legit price for what this is? I realize mileage is crappy but my wife dun care and it'll be her ride.

I also read that the head gasket was an issue and the engine is underpowered. Anything else that typically goes wrong with this gen?

It's actually pretty low mileage for the vehicle - and i would say a good price - but i would be very wary of blown Head gasket. that is the achilles heel of these vehicles - particularly the 3.0 V-6. You might want to get the Vin number and have your local toyota dealer run it for you - to see if the recalls were done on it.
