95 T4R small lift ideas/options and Q's about monroe shocks

hey gents, so im wanting to put a small lift on to my 95 4runner 22re 5spd.

now i have done some research and i know that i dont really want to crank my T bars because of the wear/tear it will do on my CV's.

some people use LandCruiser coils to lift their truck, this was one option i had but some people were saying that the LC coils decreased the ride quality for daily driving.

if i went with LC coils in the rear i would most likely instal 1.5" ball joint spacers in the front, but im afraid that the ball joint spacer will have the same affect on cv's as if i cranked the T bars. and i dont want to have to replace my cv joints every couple of months

the second option is the good ol classic 2" body lift from perfomance accesories. but i cant decide if i want to go with a 2" or 3" body lift so if any one has and photos of 4runners with either or it would be greatly appreciated if you posted some pics!

i also have recently bought another 4runner with a blown head for parts. i took most of the parts off that i want, but when i bought it i was told it has 4 new monroe shocks. i dont really know any thing about these shocks, nor could i find many reviews for them. so if anyone has any clue what kind of shocks i have and if they are any good please let me know! any info is good info! if they turn out to be good shocks i will most likely switch them of to my daily driver 4runner

Skip the body lift.. my vote would be for the LC coils or OME coils and bj spacers. I am planning on doing the bj spacers soon and to avoid the strain on the cv's I will be putting in some manual hubs. This monroe shocks your talking about are most likely stock height and wouldn't work well for your lift.

The BJ spacers are a much better way of increasing ride height than cranking t-bars.
A Body Lift helps make room for bigger tires and other things. A 2" BL is easier to install than a 3" BL, and looks better too, IMO.

I did a Google Search for BJ spacers and came up blank.

1. Who sells them.
2. Will it increase my front end height on my 93 4Runner?
3. Cost?

There some on ebay for $70. Im sure if you shopped around a bit, you could find some for a little less.. And yes, they will lift the front. I have seen them in 1.5", 2", and 2.5" depending on how much lift you want. Try Searching ball joint spacers instead of just bj. That way you don't get all those adult sites. LOL

my understanding was that an inch and a half spacer is about the max you can go and still retain alignment. thats why the ones you find on the internet are always 1.5 inch block. you can get higher if you crank the t bars along with them.... i wouldnt though.

One other question. When I put on the body lift or LC coils and bj spacers (whichever I choose) am I going to have to buy longer shocks?

I ran the stock shocks for a couple weeks with the ome coils. When I took them out to replace with the longer shocks I noticed that my drivers side shock had bent at the top. Not sure if this was already bent or due to the larger coils but, yes you would want longer shocks.
