96 Sr5 Hatch Window/Wiper Not Working

So i have researched here and on YouTube about this. Apparently having the wiper off its resting spot can hinder the window from being rolled down. Wiper is on its resting spot and wiper 10mm nut is tight. Well I took the rear hatch apart and made sure all wires were ok and connected accordingly and I found nothing out of the ordinary. Everything was connected and I didn't notice any wires that were worn or cut. All fuses were fine except for fuse 29 (inside the cab) which is the 30a fuse. I believe that fuse is for all windows and the cab windows/sun roof work perfectly fine. I tried removing it to see its integrity cuz it looked charred from above but it was brittle and the plastic housing around the fuse broke off. It's still connected but I need to find a way to remove it now that there's no meat to actually remove it.

Had my wife push the DOWN button for the hatch window as I stood next to the hatch window regulator and all that would happen is this blue control unit box below would make a click noise. Wiper makes no noise whatsoever nor moves a hair. Nothing was passing thru this box to make anything go down or up. So, would my next step be to buy this part??

PS, I have noticed that when jumping my car battery from being completely dead,that when turning the ignition, it has sometimes caused the wiper to move 1 or 2 times. But it doesn't work at all once the car is fully on. Window and wiper worked when I bought it but then stopped working shortly after.

Anyone know if my 96 Sr5 has the unlock/lock option from using the hatch cuz I have not been able to pull it off?? I can unlock all doors from driver door when turned twice..

Franky, one way to tell immediately if the motor is the issue or wiring/switch is to jump the wiper motor directly.
There are stickies in the forum for the FSM with wiring diagrams but you may be able to just locate the wires and jump directly from your battery with long wires.
I always jump motors to see if that is the issue.

Keep in mind the wire loom that goes from the truck to the hatch is a place will you want to look for issues. It is the black rubber piece that is cowering the wires. After 20 years of up and down, these wires will wear out and/or break completely.

Jump the motor, check the wiring. Let us know what you find.

Back hatch non-op

Just bought mine recently and nothing on the back hatch worked. On top of this the alarm was going haywire every time you shut the last door after turning the engine off. Problem to my solution:

The lock on the rear hatch was corroded and seized. Previous owner disconnected the lock and window motor. The security system would constantly read it as unlocked causing the alarm to trigger. Also, my suspicion with the unplugged window motor was because of the position of the lock sensor would roll the window up or down.

By simply replacing the lock and plugging everything in, I got everything on the back hatch to work perfectly, this included the wiper motor.
