Thanks man, really appreciate the feedback. For the record, I'm between Duratracs and KO's. I think I'm leaning toward the Duratracs because of how well they work with so many of our runners, and these Utah winters get pretty deep snow which I really enjoy wheeling in.
Love the LX, one of the nicest one that I've seen.

lol Yah I'm pretty stoked to have Josh's fine handiwork represented on another one of my builds. Honestly more excited about the rack and pretty much all the other mods. Form and function!
Go for the Duratracs hands down. I used to have KO's on my old pickup and they were garbage IMO.

I'll be getting my buddy who has an industrial paint shop to paint it. It will be getting primed, painted, and clear coated with the same gunmetal metallic paint that I used on my 4Runner roof rack.
Still probably a month+ to having it on the truck. I'm too busy with work right now for any wrenching so it's all going to rapidly come together in April/May before I leave for Moab. Stoked.

Some Cruiser updates for those that follow. I've been lurking around here quite a bit as of late. Some really nice rigs popping up and it's cool to see a lot of the rigs I'm familiar with growing up!
Well as I prepare for Moab next month, things are slowly turning from a pile of parts in my garage to something more substantial. I am picking away at the "to-do" list hour by hour as I find time. This weekend was allocated to getting my sleeping platform sorted and onto the right track. Not doing drawers at this point in time, although I suspect I will be adding an upper layer in the future. Right now I've got sleeping for 1 (and maybe the dog?) covered as well as some dedicated storage for pieces that will follow me even after I make basecamp and head to the trails.
I used 3/4" plywood with an Okoume veneer. The finish is very nice and I liked the color. The 2x4 is cedar for some contrast and grain factor.

As you can see, I countersunk some D-Rings in the sleeping area to allow for storage when Im not catching Z's. Not pictured, is the Hi-Lift which sits perfectly behind the front seats and is captured in place by the platform. You can access the Hi-Lift from either side and yet the weight is being kept low and the mass is contained so in case of a rollover, it won't eject and remove one of my limbs.
Once I reach the point of final assembly (after staining the wood) I will also be installing my ARB dual compressor in the passenger rear area. If you look close enough you can actually see the harness peaking out of those rear vent louvers. This should provide me fairly quick access to my air source via opening the hatch. I'll grab more photos of this once I get it assembled.
Super super excited for this mod - The ARB Fridge/Freezer. I've been dreaming of having this essential piece of camping gear ever since I got into wheeling, finally it's about to come to fruition.

While I was at it, I FINALLY installed my Slee belly skid/transmission crossmember. This thing is super beefy and provides some needed coverage under there.

Wait, what are your dates for Moab?? I'm also heading down there towards the end of May. It would be awesome to grab food, beers, wheel, or even convoy if the dates work... let me know.

Hey Jared! No, the photo above is the first time the fridge has ever seen daylight. I probably won't even plug it in until I pack up the truck for my trip. However, I'm sure it's awesome - I have several buddies with the identical ARB fridge and they all say it's one of the top 3 best mods they have ever done to their vehicles. I'll report back once I get some time with it, but how can cold beers and no ice not be totally wicked? lol

Im leaving Canada on the 5th. I will be in Moab late on the 6th and staying until the 10th. Then heading south to Lake Powell area and running Hole In The Rock trail. After that, my journey is unknown and I will either be heading West to Zion, Yosemite, San Fran or heading East into Colorado for more wheeling. TBD. It doesnt seem like our dates will align but if you can go a little sooner I'd love to wheel/beers/convoy. My dates are set in stone unfortunately. FWIW a large posse from CT4WD will be heading to Moab the last week in May and we also may be heading to the Rubicon in August/Sept. Oh and a group is going to the Yukon on July. SO much goodness this year, not enough time off!

Cool. I'm definitely looking forward to what you have to say about it, but I'd be surprised if you say anything bad. The features it has are so unique. Hard to believe they are one of the only ones who make one like it. What size did you get?

Yah SO excited! It's gunna be a whole new world for me on the rocks! I still have Rubicon in my sights so this will be a good warm up.
Sitting in my garage, not on the Cruiser. Im pretty much in scramble mode to get ready for my trip. With very limited days off and terrible weather we've been having (still snowing) I have a list of other things ahead of the roof rack. I need to make some adjustments to my current roof rack mounts and it still needs to get painted. It's a long shot that I'll have it bolted on before my trip, but we'll see! Glad to see you still around too Nick! Hope your doing well and the little one is growing up fast I bet!

I'm up in Fort Collins but as far as wheeling goes everything is going to still be closed up here due to flooding. That said I've been itching to do some trails south of me like chinaman gulch and such. Just let me know when your heading this way and we can work something out.
