Yeah, I have my stock fog switch controlling some HID fog lights. Don't splice the lights directly into the current wiring, instead use a relay and have the stock wiring work as the switch.

Generally yes. You have to do a mod in or around the fuse box. That change depends on year/options.would I be able to wire it in a way that it would have constant power?

Factory wiring only allows the fogs to be on with low beam headlights (off with no/parking/high beams).

For a US '99 model with no daytime running lights, here's the fog light diagram:What type of mod?/what exactly would I need to do?
I have Rigid pods wired directly to the OEM wires, and control them with the stalk on the column.

That’s exactly my plan here, too.
Did you do what Charlie said and mod it so you have constant power to them?
Heck, even *I* haven't done it! Actually, I plan on changing it over so they can be on with the parking lights - that way they will auto-turn-off with the driver's door like the stock headlights but can remain on when the high beams are flipped on.That’s exactly my plan here, too.

You can always just turn the light switch off and back on again...The reason I want them to be able to be powered constantly is that in a previous vehicle, sometimes it was nice to turn on the lights for some more light at the campsite....and it's nice to not have to turn on the engine to do so.
