Okay, For sale I have a 1999 4 Runner Limited.
It needs to be cleaned, but it's been a LONG winter.
The important stuff
- 166XXX Miles
- Push Button 4wd works great
- Rear Locker works
- Before the winter I replaced a lot of stuff under the car, suspension, ball joints, a few other things down below, basicly anything that was worn out, brakes, spark plugs, wires, it wasn't cheap and I only used quality parts, but it's done, and it's awesome.
- Timing belt was done I believe at 90k miles, but i'd have to check.
- Engine is strong
- Trans is strong
There are a total of 2 things wrong with this truck, and I just try to be as honest as possible, and i'll be fixing them as soon as I have the chance anyways, just stating how it is right now.
It needs rear sway bar end links, after replacing all of the the suspension I realized that they need to replaced, should have done it at the time... had a ex toyota tech look at it, just haven't had time to fix it.
Second, I get a random misfire when it's hot... replacing the spark plugs and wires helped all winter and I thought it fixed it, but tech says it's either the coil or the injector... both should be pretty easy, but it's not getting any better on it's own, so it needs to be fixed.
So both problems are pretty easy, and cheap to fix... but that's my problem when it comes to this truck. I haven't had it long, and I bought it for two reasons. Winter driving since I ride a motorcycle most of the year, and to tow my bikes for racing and dirtbiking. To be true, I am not a big SUV guy... I"ve tried it and well I have a car on order now and my dad got a nicer SUV I can take for my bikes at anytime. Sooo there is no reason to bother having a SUV, and I don't like having vehicles to just neglect them... I have too many as is. I just don't have time like I used to to work on them, I don't even have time to do simple things, and that's just not right on this vehicle, someone else could enjoy it much more, it's a blast in bad traction, snow, mud, whatever but I NEVER get to do that kind of stuff.
So I think this is a great car, and from the pricing i'm seeing on this page, I think I am pretty close to inline, but I will consider any reasonable offer.
