99 4Runner limited body lift

Hello,
new member here looking to lift my 4runner 2 inches via body lift. Anyone out there that has done this and if so,

How much?
Modifications to truck? Steering, brake lines, etc
Problems?
Which vendor(s) do you recommend?

i have not done one on a 4runner, but have on a blazer, lol. I see you havent gottin much help so i'll throw some info out. Brake lines are not effected, they are on the frame. Any other corrections such as steering, gas filler hose, etc. will be listed in the contents of the purchase from the company. In my years of researching 4x4 stuff i have found that 2'' BL go much easier and fullproof than 3'' BL.

Thanks for the info... I am in the market to lift it up but wanted to keep it simple and cheap with a body lift.
Now the search is on for a half decent body lift.

......anyone out there with any experience with a 4runner 1999 please give a shout.

OME old man emu works great for 4runners but its suspension i beleive(im sure they make body lifts as well) hers a site, not sure how much help it will be: Lifts

also for inexpensive body lifts, i got a trailmaster 3 inch for my bronco and it was a decent choice, i ran it for about 2 years with no problems then i rolled it and that was the end of that.

its harder to come up with a good qualitied, well known body lift thats manufactured for a newer 4runner like yours

and here i posted asking basically the same question because i was originally going to lift my 4runner and theres a sweet picture of one of my buddies 4runner lifted:

OK, I am pretty sure that there are absolutely NO body lifts for a 99.

Does anyone have any experience with Cornfed ??? If so, are there any other mods that need done to make it work... and how good is this system? Are their issues with the driveline angle, etc??

Roger brown(4crawler.com) makes body lifts in several diff options for 96-02 4runners. I have this lift and it is very nice, and a good price for the quality. suspension lifts will always be more, however they give you more too. Stick w/ a 2" the 3" adds many more obstacles.

Cool, I will give them a look... I was hoping to keep it cheap and its mainly just for looks, that is why I want the body lift so I can keep my factory ride and keep the suspension stock.

go with a suspension lift as i think it's safer than a body lift.

plenty of options.

check out yotatech.com for abunch of 3rd gen lift options.

If you plan to do a 3" suspension lift, make sure you do a 1" diff drop or else you'll eat thru the cv's real quick.

If you want more than 3", then do a 3" susp lift and a body lift of your size height.

Thanks... I already anticipate getting a 3 inch suspension lift and getting a Roger Brown 1inch body lift. I just need to figure out which suspension lift kit to purchase.:confused: :confused: :confused:
 
I recommend you researching both OME and the tundra coil suspension setup.

Both come highly recommended by alot of the 3rd gen owners so look into that.

Does the LIMITED version have a different set up with suspension arms, etc than the SR5's ??? I once heard that there is some additions to the LIMITED set up for ride comfort, etc...:confused:

I dont want to end up with a lift that will not work when I go to order.

From what I'm aware of all the 3rd gen have the same suspension so you shouldn't have to worry about anything different.
