Not bad! Discount tire is charging me $1000 mounted for 265/70/17. I paid $690 for my 35's in the same tire with my discount and rebate. I talked to my buddy who is a manager and he said the price difference is because it's been 3 years

LC 7 Wraps
Hey, like your build. Maybe one day my truck will get there.
You might have already addressed this question so you can point me to it if you did but why did you switch to the LC 7 wrap over the OME 906? Which one do you like better?
I'm trying to do a mild lift ~2" (got the BS 4R 5100 in the rear) so I was going to go the OME 906 route but if I can get the LC 7 wrap for a cheaper prices (906's are about $170 new) then that would be a good option. Looks like you got the 7 wraps for $80 total so that's a great deal.

Yeah, I paid more for my 255 85 16s 2 years ago. Now Ive got those at 60% tread to sell.

Thanks, I was in the same boat 4 years ago.
I did the 7 wraps for more lift. Without any weight added the 7 wraps gave me 4-4 1/2 inches vs the 906 at 2". The LC coils also flex quite a bit better, but you do need longer shocks.

Got it, 4-4.5 is way more than I want, plus I just bought the rear shocks so don't want to spend money on new shocks...too many other things that I should be putting $$ towards.

Wow, it's been quite some time since I last visited this thread and a ton has changed in here. Really digging that rear bumper, been thinking about using my schools shop class to build a swing out too. How was the task? Was this your first major fab project? How watertight are the little storage compartments in them?
And your rear storage box looks great, I really like how you incorporated the CV and compressor/tank.
The RTT looks really nice too, I like how it much more slender it is to the roof. Bummed they discontinued it cause it looks awesome on your 4Runner.

Yeah, I'm getting pretty close to where I want to be. The bumper was my first major fab project, but I had taken a few sheet metal courses so I had the welding down. It took quite a bit of planning, but the actual building went pretty fast. It definitely helped to have a plasma cutter, it would take a lot longer without one. The storage compartments aren't really watertight at all, but it would be easy to seal them up.
I am thinking about building a new bumper with a few more angles and a dual swing out, but we'll see...
The drawers are a great addition and really help with organization.
I love this tent, and there is another company that sells the same tent, but I would refuse to buy it from them due to some less than ethical business practice. CVT on the other hand is fantastic.

Man, GREAT THREAD! I just saw this thread for the first time and took me probably 3 hours to go through it and read and drool at all your pictures. I love the build and i think i love even more the story behind it. so awesome.
couple of questions. - I just picked up my first 3rd gen and wanted to know how you hooked up that key fob? is that from a 4th gen? it looks like my 4th gen fob at least.
unless i missed it, what wheels are you running? also back spacing.

This is the instruction I used. First you have to make sure your truck has the capability by going through the first part of the instructions to see if you can get your truck into programing mode. http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/7501-programming-instructions-keyless-entry-remote.html
The wheels are Pro Comp 7069 with a 4" backspace. Hopefully they work with the 35s...

Yeah, I'd like to add some round tube to them. They are 5 ft long, I kept them a little shorter for extra tire clearance, and because I could only get the 2X2 in 10 ft sections. I used 4 legs to secure them to the frame, which was probably overkill, but whatever, and some frame plated from 4xinnovations. I also cut small notches out of the pinch weld to help them stay tucked up.

Just got my 35's from the discount tire sale!
They are freaking big! I mounted up one on my spare to help with clearancing. Next week I'm going to SEMA, but after that I will be tubing the firewall. The plan is to remove the strut and cut out what I need to out of the door pillar down low and then pie cut the side of the firewall, fold it in and re-weld it. I can't remember where I saw this method, but I really liked it rather than cutting the whole thing out. I'll document the process when I get around to it.
Here's the 315 75 16 Duratrac Mounted on the front. They rub on the control arms at droop, so I will probably either shave the upper control arm or run a 1/4 inch spacer.

Hey thanks! Well right now I don't. Hahaha. It will take quite a bit of work, but I will clear them with no body lift and about 2.5" of lift.
