Thanks. I found the write-up on here, and most of the work was executed by my friend [MENTION=61258]Nates_NW4Runner[/MENTION]. He's been a great help on my previous 4Runner, and now this one. I'm glad I could help, at least virtually ;).

Inlet (sending) on the top, Outlet (return) on the bottom. It's a widely debated topic, so everyone does it their own way.



My transmission temps have been 143 cruising on the HWY, and 150-160 in town. I'm not complaining.



Edit: I have yet to take it up a long and steep grade in the mountains, so i'll make sure to report back when that time comes.

The Runner has been running great. Everytime I roll down the rear window, I am reminded of my childhood (89' Bronco) and the love I have for the wind cracking through the cabin. It really is the little things.

Yeeeew! It has been a whirlwind of a month. From the Big Island to being Deep in the Woods, I have had my fair share of enjoyment on both feet and on wheels. So, here now with a little update. Nothing has really changed, but it has been getting used. I took a trip up into the Cascade Foothills, outside of the town of Scotts Mills. My girlfriend and I originally planned on going to Abiqua Falls (TYLER BRADT), but after combing through neat trails, my focus was derailed from the Falls and more so on scouting 4x4 trails. A couple days later, my best friend and I went down on the Willamette River on some families private property. Everything was really overgrown brush and very TIGHT, but it was a good time. All before that I was on the Big Island with my beautiful girlfriend celebrating her completion of a BA from the University of Oregon... GO DUCKS! Upon landing, we loaded up the 4Runner and headed down Rogue River to do some white water rafting. With funds slowly being depleted, it's time to ease back into a reality. A month to truly remember.

Debadged the tailgate. It's more aesthetically pleasing, as there was a lot of clutter with the multiple badges.

Somber update. The 4Runner has been sold to a wonderful couple in the Eugene, OR. area. I recently lined up a job in a profession that I have passion for. Unfortunately, it requires a vehicle with a better tow rating than #7000. I wish I could keep the 4Runner, but it is not feasible at this point in my life. I really was kicking myself in the pants watching it drive away, but it was a sacrifice I knew I had to make in order to be successful at my position. Thanks ya'll for tuning in and maybe a full-size thread is in my near future!. If anyone is looking for a boat, come check me out at Active Water Sports in Oregon City!

get a cummins, and get a manual trans. do not get a Duramax unless you have deep pockets(not bad motors, infact great motors, but very very spendy to work on and fix if anything ever does go bad) fords, well ive worked on enough fords and powerjokes to not spend my money on one -but i would own it over the duramax(only because i know how to work on them, and they are cheaper). id get a cummins personally. that 5.9 is a work horse, and bullet proof. very reliable and dependable, and reasonable to work on. plus it offers the most room to work on as well. i know of a great cummins shop around too if you ever need service. -its in newburg so somewhat close for you as well.
 
Phew, it's been a whirlwind of the last year. Driving a F-250 7.3 for DD/Work duties. Great truck!

The company I work for is closing in on buying a few newer Duramax Diesels for work trucks... If that's the case, my F-250 7.3 is up for sale and i'll be looking for another 3rd Gen 4Runner.

I saw this truck on google images a long time ago while looking at black 4runners. That is a fantastic looking stock 3rd gen. Nothing beats clean, glossy black paint. The flares, sport hood, and color matched bumpers make this my favorite 3rd gen ever. I say you look for another one like it!
 
Looks good. I like the millennium silver. The different transfer case modes on the 99-00 Limited's paired with the rear locker must be nice. First "mod" should be a can of black trim paint on that fake wood. Every time I see the plastic wood on the Limited's it makes me go..

Yeah, that was one exceptionally sharp vehicle. I'm always anxious and have been scouring Craigslist like a hawk already...

Silver or Black will in all likely be the ticket for me. I will definitely be sticking with a 99-00, unless a screaming deal comes along.

I sincerely enjoyed my last two 4Runners, so if it all shakes out how I expect it too I may just make it a third!
