LOL

1600 vies, 61 replies.......a grand total of 5 posters,

Either this forum is useless or my truck is ****in ugly!!,

Judging by the giant threads I have seen here...

I conclude that my truck is ugly hahaha

Answered a pretty sleepy ad on the local kijiji offering aluminum fab.....turns out the guy used to design bumpers for big semis, and took a look at some of his work. Looks awesome. Going to design something unique and custom with him and report back.

While I wait for the quote for aluminum bumpers to come through, I am going to go ahead and do the following-

Remote start (firmly believe this is for pussies as I have never have one. I sit in the truck freezing like a man until it is ready to drive. It routinely reaches -50 degrees c and even colder here in this region, I think it is just time to go ahead....and be a *****! But really, it is for resale value. People here expect it)

Brakes are getting a little weak, TUNDRA UPGRADE TIME.

While I am doing that, may as well do ball joints and piece together my lift in preparation for bumpers. Any recommendations on Ball joints and lift?

I am also thinking about upgrading head unit and front speakers....recommendations ?

Satoshi grill?

Oh yes....satoshi grill...

Bumping in hopes that someone here may any to contribute their opinion on stereo and aluminum bumper ideas..

Right on, always nice to see a fellow Canadian on here. Art was a dude in Mississauga who had an extra one for sale for a very fair price, but upon hearing that my damn unit was stuck on hit, full fan, gave it to me for what little I could scrounge at the time (legal fees etc).

Is yours stuck on high heat too??

my guess its a Bonneville 750.. had to turn the laptop sideways!!!

I am a big fan of kawasaki sold and new..did you see the new h2/h2r??? Insane!

The new s1000rr out-spec'n the old hp4 was awesome to hear too while we are talking bikes.

You are right in the engine size. It is a 1976 Honda CB750F Supersport.

Lived in a ditch covered in snow. I found I in Thunder Bay in a rusty heap and had it shipped here.

For anyone following this thread, I have decided to go with the boss lift kit from toytec and the extra bits sold at Sonoran steel. "Piece it yourself"

Also looking at a kenwood single din and front speaker upgrade.

Trying to hunt down cheap parts for the tundra brake upgrade as well.

Wheeling and dealing on a 80 series land cruiser..if that goes through no kenwood shit!!

wow what a find! in the ditch! I'd be interested in seeing your progress pictures on that rebuild, I passed on a mint condition 1984 750 virago for $800 last month :cry just didn't have the room to put it :/
I hope i can do that epic journey across canada on a bike one day, you've seen that movie " on week" ?

I've seen the H2r, not a fan of the crotch rockets they look nice standing still, but try riding that for 8-10 hrs touring, just not my style, My klr reminds me of my 4runner, reliable, dependable and capable, on and off the road, she may not be the fastest out there but she gets me to places other vehicles can't, and the rising odometer is a badge of honor rather than a reminder to get something else,,,,
I think a vehicle is an expression in some ways of yourself, similar personality traits, show up in your vehicle's capabilities,
oh well enough rambling,
my cc has been acting up, may die soon..
keep us in the loop with your build, pictures always keeps the build threads alive

Will do, I have a couple build projects going on so this has been slow.

Done the cross country trip A couple times, once a crotch rocket...I agree with you.

Just an update, I doubt it will work out for the bumpers as it is really difficult these days with the local insurance they would rather spend an equal or slightly higher amount than the custom bumpers to fix it back to stock.

OH WELL. Will likely just lift her up 1.5 inches and put some solid wheels on. Anyone with wheel recommendations fire away

Hi folks. In case anyone was checked this thread out previously or from time to time, it looks like the custom bumpers will work out. I have forwarded the insurance paperwork to appropriate shop. While I wait to hear about what they figure out with the insurance I have been looking at all options for lifts and as well would like to get some winter tires.

I have decided against a remote start.

The incur anise companies seem to win here..****ers.

Finally going in on Monday to get new bumpers...sadly, back to stock..oh well at least it will be clean. Having the paint cut while the truck is there.

Picked up a set of Nokian Hakkapeliittas R2 SUV for the winnipeg winter and getting a remote starter. T4R's own the road in winter!!!!!

What else to change if already swapping injectors???

Hey guys, it looks like I'm going to do a fuel injector soon. I have six ready to go and replaced one last year. But if I'm taking all that stuff off already what do you guys think I should also swap while I'm on there? Intake manifold gasket set? Any ideas? Aside from doing the rest of the injectors! (Number 5 done)

Here's a list of what i have done since I got it at 200,000km:
Timing belt
Power steering belt
Alternator belt
Rebuilt the alternator, cleaned off corrosion and new brushes
Ac belt
Ac compressor with clutch

Expansion valve
Thermostat and gasket
Water pump and gasket
Idler roller
Tensioner roller
Front camshaft seals
Front crankshaft seal
Hydraulic tensioner

Spark plugs (twice, 2nd set just 1000kms ago)
Wires (twice' 2nd set just 1000kms ago)
Cleaned fuel injectors and replaced number 5 after misfire code
Sea foam treatment!
Radiator and hoses
Couple tranny drain and fills
Ignition coils (1000km ago)
Brake pads and rotors (1200kms ago)
