A/C keeps running when off?

I have a 97 Limited 4WD, and it has always been reliable. Recently, the A/C motor seems to keep running (at least in terms of the sound of the fan behind the glove compartment) even when the A/C is off.

I realize that this might be something OTHER than the a/c fan, but after owning the car for 12 years it sounds exactly like it.

Has anyone ever had this problem or have an idea what might be causing it?

Make sure your rear blower is not on.

Thanks! The rear blower was not on, but i found a crossed wire behind the console casing that was keeping it on. Huge help. :thanks:
