A/C not blowing

I have a 4th generation SR5. Within the last couple of weeks, the air conditioner fan wouldn't come on right away. The climate control unit would show it was on, but no air. After a few minutes of driving, the air would kick in and blow fine. Today, nothing. The climate control shows it is on and I think the compressor is engaging, but no fan. Any thoughts or anybody had the same issues.

Have you checked the obvious things, like the fuse for the fan?
If the fan isn't working, the compressor should not come on. It's a safety feature to prevent the heat exchanger from icing over.

Have you tried changing out the A/C Clutch Relay? It's a $15 part from autozone, or any auto parts store. My A/C stopped working and the AC light would just blink, I changed the part and everything worked again for me.

Started having the same problem with my 2006 SR5 V8 this week. Twice the fan has not started with the car. Turning the fan on/off doesn't help. I can feel cool air dripping out of the vents, so the air is being cooled, just not blown. Both times the air has kicked on after driving for 15 minutes or so and then it works fine.

Most of the "fan not working" threads seem to be about the ice buildup problem -- ice is definately not the problem.

I'm having the same problem with a 5th gen TE. It's the AC fan that doesn't turn on, or sometimes turns off after driving a while. Every time I get it into the shop, it works for them. I just haven't had the timing right for them to see the problem.
