a couple oil leaks

I was recently informed by the dealer that my front crank seal and my front right axle seal are leaking. Neither are leaking enough to leave oil spots in my parking spot, or for there to be any noticeable decrease in the oil levels. They recomended I get both changed before they gets worse. This will run me ~$700+ in parts and labor. I agreeded to have the work done and set an appointment for the weekend, but now I am wondering if it is really worth spending all that money now, or waiting to see if the leaks get worse. Should I just get it done now to avert future disaster, or wait in the hopes that either they won't get worse, or maybe combine the work something else to combine the labor?

Me personally, I'd get it taken care of. I'm not one to let things go bad on any of my cars. Yeah, it's 700 clams now outta your pocket but if you let it go it might be more down the road.

I know that some regulars in here will brag how they'd do this job in their own garage, but im with Krup on this. Id get it done before it gets worse and causes an even MORE EXPENSIVE repair down the road.

To me, it's a "Pay me now, or Pay me Later!" type of situation. Either pay the $ now and get it fixed, or pay later in time, frustration and even MORE $$$!!

I agree with this statement, if its not THAT serious, then it can wait a few more days for you to get a second opinion somewhere else.

I bought both of the oil seals for the front axle when I replaced the CV's and together they were $45 from toyota dealership. I'd get another quote if I were you just to be safe
