Hey ya'll I did a small search, and didn't find what I was looking for, so I wanted to ask anyone who has possibly tried these items:

ChromeINTAKE for '92 4runner -
88 89 90 91 92 93 94 95 PICKUP/4RUNNER 4 RUNNER 3.0 3.0L V6 COLD AIR INTAKE+BLUE | eBay

Or something like this, the Yota Intake small turbo -

If anyone has tried these products, or have a better idea of something to use, please let me know, and your experience with them for whatever money paid, good vs bad. I wanted to ask, before I spent the money. Thanks!

only idiots buy CHIPS electric fan super chargers, they are a giant SCAM.
dont be stupid stay away from anything that says it will give you HP or MPG thats a instant sign of a SCAM

The intake may help you alittle and 50 bucks isnt alot to spend. But the fake supercharger is garbage and if you spent 200 dollars on that you would punch your self in the face.

My elbow on my intake cracked and i almost bought a cold air intake since it was same price as the elbow but i thought cold air intake on a 4runner was kind of ricer.

If you want an intake go to auto zone and buy and adaptor plate 6.99 and a spectra cone filter 27.99 save some.moneu

I have that same CAI and love it. Although I bought a K&N for the end of mine. Those intakes make your truck loud, but sounds good though.

no cold air intakes are good its not ricer to clean up the engine cabinet or free intake flow.

Not if they aren't a real cold air intake, they aren't. There's absolutely no benefit to getting rid of the factory cold air intake in favor of a cheapass cone filter that's going to sit there next to the exhaust manifold and suck hot engine air all day.

I wish dudes would stop using "cold air intake" synonymously with "cone filter". They are not the same thing, I don't care what K&N calls it.

correct cold air is placed inside the fender out side of the engine bay one placed in the engine bay is considered a ram intake.

Spectre/Air duct mounting plate (8148) | Intake Duct Filter Adapter | AutoZone.com

Spectre/Blue cone air filter (8136) | Specialty Air Filter | AutoZone.com

unbolt your maf from the air box 4 10 mm bolts or nuts depending then you will have to drill 4 holes in the adapter because its made for a Chevy i believe after holes line up bolt it on and put the filter on and you may need to make a bracket to hold it from bouncing around.
Enjoy.

Does it help improve your power out or mpg? I'm thinking of getting it, but I want it to be well worth it

Thats what I mostly look for, I hate the sluggish feeling, makes me want to steal my bros new F150. Lol better throttle response and hopefully a tad more mpg

I just bought and put that exact chrome intake on my 95 about 10 days ago. It does help throttle response and makes the truck a bit louder in general, very noticeable if you have a magnaflow muffler or something. What i like about it is that it gets rid of all that black plastic crap in the engine bay that really doesn't seem to do anything. I'm sure it has a purpose, but my 95 with 150xxx runs just fine with the chrome intake in it's place. I'd recommend it if you're looking for bit more throttle response, volume (little thoatier sound), and a cleaner looking engine bay (in my opinion). Go for it! If you get it and have any questions just hit me up.

I bought the intake. Waiting for it to come in and put it on , to those curious about it, I'll give you details as it comes in.

Haven't payed much attention to the mpg. the 3.0s tend to suck up gas pretty quick, so didn't think about it too much. It'd be cool if you did a comparison of before and after though!
