A Good Deed

Aww, I'm sorry I missed that now..

Since we are off topic - shouldn't we save our outrage for the NHL forums.. Bloody lockout... Oh and why didn't you guys beat the Kings.. Now I have to deal with lakers fans coming to Ducks - Kings games at the Ponda... Whenever the season starts that is..

Anyway, the 4R is a great hockey truck - so this is totally relevant to the 5th gen Sub forum:D

The NHL lockout is slowly killing me. Of all the major sports, this is the one I cannot be without.

The 4R is indeed a great hockey truck...... It sees mine and my teenagers bags, sticks, and other smelly items multiple times per week.

Should have beat the Kings ..... But it is what it is........

It sucks for sure...Im still on the ice 2 x a week sometimes 3 and my son is 6 years old taking power skating lessons, thats our fix for now. And more good news the Islanders are moving to brooklyn too. I dont understand it, people who live on the Island couldnt drag there ass for a short car ride, now they think people are going to get on a train, transfer at another station to get to brooklyn when its a straight shot train ride to Manhattan to see the Rangers. The Islanders couldnt sell out when it was convenient to go see them, i cant wait to see what happens when the newness wears off.

I don't understand the move to Brooklyn either, maybe they're trying to draw a new fan base. The Islanders were once a great franchise, but haven't proven they even deserve to be an NHL team in many years. When people don't show up, and they are forced to move to another city/state, I think it will be well deserved since they helped cause this lock out by offering ridiculous contracts. They are, by far, not the only ones. But they have participated, which makes them just as guilty in my opinion. Luckily, our local station has been re-playing recent (classic) Blues games, and I still get to play once/week. But I want to see a season this year, even if it is shortened.

First order of business: New CBA
Second order of business: 2012-13 season
Third order of business: Get rid of Bettman

You are 100% correct, and your order above is also correct. Its a real shame what professional sports has become.

Whew! For awhile I was worried that I was the only one who noticed his, um, missing thingie.

Yeh, ditto. I think in honor of your naming him, we should hang on at least 'til we tire of explaining it to noobs.

Anytime you guys want me to start another good thread thats turned useless let me know lol.

Did you like it? I chuckled :lmao: I was also a bit creeped out by someone who clearly spent a large portion of his life trolling.

Grew up a huge Isles fan before the Devils existed. Gillies was my favorite. For 5 straight years they were the best in the NHL, bar none. This move to Brooklyn makes great sense for that franchise and will attract good players who want to play in a high profile environment.

Having 3 teams within 15 miles will definitely amp things up tremendously especially with the Isles getting better.

Totally disagree. They play in a toilet and have a weak fan base. For them to exist and draw players who WANT to play there they had to do something like this. They are an up and coming team. Flyer fans will hesitate before they go to Brooklyn for fear of leaving in a body bag.

I don't blam them for moving, the place is a **** hole with no fans. But im just shocked they picked brooklyn. And yes the only way to get fans is to put a good team on the Ice. You know as well as I that a majority of the players traded to the Isles come kicking and streaming because the place is a **** hole with very low fan base. I don't blam players for not wanting to come and I am certianly not surprised at the move. I agreed in the prior post because of the inflated contracts (Yashin/Dipietro)/once a great franchise. They are an up and coming team with very good young players but they NEED some veteran leadership, does a move to Brooklyn solve that? We shall see.

^^^ Freakin hilarious!!

I'm not usually for bashing people, but hopefully this will result in a bit of an attitude adjustment.

I wonder if that was even him in the picture.

No way by the looks of that picture, that guy couldn't even wash his own hair let alone type on a keyboard.
