A lesson in how to handle a DUI checkpoint

If that is the checkpoint on the 8, i have been threw there about a hundred times as well. Never had a single issue, but then again, i roll my window down and offer the mean CBP guys cookies and such, Last time i drove threw there it was snowing like a sun of a gun, may 31st, was heading to San Felipe for the 250
 
Stunning. I imagine this one ended up in the hands of a lawyer and I would bet money that the winning hand was camera guy. This is one of the reasons I despise this state...

control comes in the door a friend and soon takes over rational people. There is absolutely no justification for breaking into this mans vehicle potentially causing him injury.

He did not want to talk. No crime was committed. I KNOW it would have been easier just to talk to them. But he did nothing unlawful.

They did not have any lawful right to do this. Low pay? Give me some slack here. This is the new fascist state. If you don't recognize it you are young. Each act meets with an excuse from us and we keep giving them a bye until they come for us....Welcome to it.

I just don't believe that a person driving on government highways has a guaranteed constitutional (state or federal) right to not be stopped and questioned by the police. The roads are public property and the government has a right to stop anyone they want, anytime, at the minimum just to talk.

It's called the Fourth Amendment of The Constitution.
 
They may be with with unlawful detainer. False arrest, kidnapping breaking and entering not to mention the damage to his vehicle....maybe even their jobs.:rockon:

It was a sarcastic comment zstampe. (btw always nice to see you on the forum!)

I've had officers pull me out of my truck for lesser suspicion than not rolling the window all the way down to find nothing wrong, out of place, or even remotely close to law breaking. I was basicly stating in my sarcasm just because someone is a police officer doesn't make them perfect. No one is, every one makes judgement calls that are off from time to time.

Honest question since i am neither here nor there...if you ACT like an ass (refusing to roll down window, refusing to talk, etc.), then is that PROBABLE CAUSE???

I assume that these traffic stops to check for drunks are legal and public supported. So, the question here is NOT about these stops themselves. The question is PROBABLE CAUSE based on YOUR actions when you are approached by an officer at these stops. Am i right?

I would have a lot more sympathy IF the guy had rolled down his window and answered the simple question(s) in a grown up way...YET, the officer still took him out of his car and did a thorough search of his car and his body orifices. NOW, THAT is news...THAT is a clear violation of the 4th Amendment...and i would be the first person to vote for village stoning of that officer.

My bigger problem is...why do these buttholes not run for office or make a petition or chain themselves to the flag pole at City Hall?? Wouldn't that be A LOT more effective AND create less of an annoyance to the public??

Are these buttholes doing this to get famous on Youtube (aka Gangnam Style famous)? Are these buttholes doing this to be cool? I would bet that not many of these buttholes even vote or care about voting (when they come of age). This is their 15 minutes of fame, Gangnam style!

Pathetic if you ask me...and a terrible waste of time for everyone else being stuck behind the butthole(s).

(Now, there was a video somewhere else where a cop over-reacted and shot a dog...NOW, that makes me more angry than watching these buttholes!)
