I recently purchased this 1986 4Runner DLX to have something to do with free time. I work overseas and out of state a lot, so restoring this will be a slow process. Below are a few pictures of as it sits right now.
I found this yota online about 3 weeks ago when I was in Africa. I called the guy and asked how the vehicle was and he said it was in great shape and perfect mechanical condition. So I told him when I got home I would like to buy it depending on what I see. I got home this past Wed and took a Greyhound bus to Texas to go check it out. The guy I bought this from is located in San Antonio, TX and was asking $5500 for it. After looking at it inside and out, finding some flaws here and there and seeing this truck will need to work. So I started to negotiate with him on the price. I pointed out about the worn/damaged interior, transfer case leaking, exhaust leaking, ect. I was able to drive away with it for $1500 and it made it just fine all the way back to New Orleans, La.
