A question about grills

So, I'm I'm in the process of updating the headlights on my '05SE to 06'-09 variety. For this reason, I wanted to see if anyone knows if an 06'-09' grill will work with an 03'-05' hood. I suppose that I would like to eventually do the Satoshi grill mod in the future using an 06'-09' grill. Anyway, comments are appreciated!

The grill will not fit right out of the box. It dips lower in to the front bumper than the stock 03-05 bumper. So unless you have an aftermarket front bumper, the only real option is to slowly start trimming your front bumper until it fits. And then from there, you also have to worry about the latch mechanism.

[MENTION=127401]Krayziekid[/MENTION], well, since you mention it, I am currently running a Shrockworks bumper, which is part of the reason that I am thinking about the newer grill. The Shrockworks bumper has an enormous gap between it, and the grill (obviously intended for access to a winch, which I do not have). I am assuming that this will not be a problem, but I am waiting to hear what others have to say.

Momo just went through this with the 06-09 grille that I sold him. He has an aftermarket bumper and ended up having to trim the lower third of it off, and modify the hood release latch to make it work. Check out his build thread
