I just discovered the 2011 Limited doesn't have a Homelink transmitter. I guess I just assumed it did, and never noticed that it doesn't, until I went to program it. I'm a bit surprised the Limited is missing it.

Mine has it. 3 buttons right next to the map light. Are you sure you have a LTD? Standard Equipment?
Your saying it doesn't have a "transmitter" so it sounds like your pressing one of the homelink buttons trying to pair it and it's not working? If your garage has a revolving code (ie if it doesn't sync with the remote directly) you have to hit the button on the garage door motor itself - then you have 20 seconds or so to run to your car and hit the homelink buttons.
My 2010 Limited has it.. have my own garage door and that of a relative programmed into it... with one more button to spare....

That is an SR 5 overhead console, but the limited looks similar and has the homelink buttons in the same place.

That is the Trail Edition console.
My 2010 Limited has it.. have my own garage door and that of a relative programmed into it... with one more button to spare....

My Craftsmen were a bit special. Had to pair them holding the remote up to the homelink transmitter and pair before pressing the learn button on the garage door opener.

You have to first do what JHAWK stated with Liftmaster and Chamberlain garage door openers. In fact, you need to do that with all rolling code garage door openers. It takes like less than 30 seconds to complete each switch. Have a ladder ready and the cover open, so you can press the learn button on the garage door opener.

Well, doesn't this make me feel stupid? I trust the input from the T4R members so it has to be there and I just didn't see the button set. I guess I just looked too quickly, in the dark, and my eyesight's not what it once was. I also admit I didn't RTFM yet.
I will look again tonight.

And it programmed fine for the 3 garage doors as per normal.
My only defence is that the 3 buttons are black, against a black overhead console, and I'm old enough that I need my reading glasses at night.

Yeah... Just not according to the file name when I grabbed the file off the Toyota website.. I guess their web developers don't know the difference... and didn't take the time to check!
