a taste of what Western Australia has to offer! [pics]

this weekend drove up to lancelin and cruised offroad to Cervantes (around 100km off road)... its about 130km north of my city, had a great time!!

this track had hardly been driven on past few years, took 3 hours to drive 40km (took heaps of photos though) only to hit a dead end!!! haha nice drive though!!

yeah mate! actually stayed the night, that 40k track ****ed us!! ended up having to look for a place to camp at night!!

If everything goes as planned I will be moving there in 5 years or so.....most likely to Western Australia in the Perth area.

What do you know about that area Rafal? I work in the Oil and Gas industry, how're the jobs there? alot of opportunities?

If I get to australia I can buy myself a Hilux Surf!!!! haha I love them.

Anyways, very nice pics! Im kinda jealous

Oh and one more thing, what company makes your bull bar/fender guard/side steps?

Red, i know a bit about Perth, i been here 20 of my 24 years

mate, i'm not sure what exact field you work in, but you are probably aware of the resources boom in western australia, we basically have full employment here, most people are doing pretty well, even myself as a full-time student living independently i'm getting by (well good enough to have my own 4runner )

i should imagine you wouldnt have issues finding work if you are in oil and gas, but i dont know the availability onshore. my knowledge about oil/gas is limited but i am under the impression there are more opportunities out at sea in the oil sector. atleast not in perth if you are interested in field work.

i believe the largest oil/gas company in Australia is Woodside, i think that would be a good place to further your knowledge!! they have a huge ass building in the Perth CBD too :

as far as perth goes, its a beautiful isolated clean city, W.A is more than 4x bigger than france and we only have 2 million people here, so its a great place to come if you enjoy serenity without some bozo blocking the view or talking too loud. if you enjoy being around a heap of people with more of a buzz, i'd recommend the east coast.

as for my bull bar, it came with the truck, i have no info about it, i'll post up some pics after this weekend!!

I'll have to look into that area a bit more, good to hear its a pretty busy place, the only thing I'd be worried about moving to Australia is finding steady work. I dont have much of a preference to which city I'd live in but I am from Canada and Im used to a more laid back lifestyle.

I look forward to seeing more pictures of your 4Runner, see if maybe you can find some kind of identification on your bull bar. I think ARB makes one that kinda looks like that but I'd have to do some more reasearch.

Im from Canada, one of the reasons I want to move to Australia is to escape the cold! haha

if you want warmth oz is defo the place to be!!!

canada is on my list of places to visit!!! heard hella good things about it.

mate if you are skilled you shouldnt have worries finding work. check the oz immigration website and see what kind of skilled job visas are available, if theyre on the list good chance there is a shortage in that field.

i think the bar might be custom, i'll have a good look at it over the weekend. i've never seen one on a 4runner before, its the same style used on cruisers and patrols.

red - havent had time to take pics, the bar has "bocar" on it, not sure if it means anything though!
