Ok i am a new member after getting nowhere with toyota customer service i am trying to find out if there are trans coolers on the new 2014 4runners is there any members who are in the know?
Welcome to T4R !
I'm going to move your post to the 5th gen section where you should get an answer quicker.
But as a rule of thumb, any vehicle with an auto trans has a trans fluid cooler that is built into the radiator.
Hey thanks , I am aware of the trans being cooled by the radiator but when towing a trailer fairly often i would like to know if it is necessary to add a cooler. Also if toyota offers one and wether or not adding my own would void a warranty
Here is a link to my first thread. I have my 6'x15' trailer hooked up on on my
'14 SR5 I was hauling close to 5,000 lbs. I had the trailer weighed down I threw out my weight ticket so I can not tell you the excact weight. You can see how low it was on the back. Depending on how much weight you are hauling. You might want to get a new supsension. I don't know how the TE and LE haul but my SR5 made it like a champ.
As far as the Trans cooler here is a website for what their warranty covers. Also If you go back to the dealership and ask to speak to one of their financing specialist. They usually know the details of the warranty you are intrested in. If you talk to a sales person or a floor manager they are the same people, just one is in charge. They may not be as knowledgeable of the warranties like their financing specialist are. Hope this helps alittle
