ABS, VSC, Trac Issues???

no nd yes, did the test in stages.

sensors read ok 0.34ohm when tested alone, harness reads ok, when disconnected from sensor, however no continuity when sensor is plugged into harness, and read from the combined harness connector, above the axle
been pretty busy, left the car, will do further trouble shooting over the weekend.

@ bolded, you mean the harness for the rear wheel speed sensor??. toyodiy has a schematic showing they terminate somewhere near the center storage area, a lil puzzling, cos there is no ecu there to my knowledge

The two wires come together and plug into a harness in the location you describe, yes. But then that harness surely plugs into the skid control ECU.

If you have the harness out to test it, doesn't that mean you know where that link terminates?

So the part circled in yellow clips into another connector hidden ontop of the frame.so that connector, am assuming leads to the vsc ecu?..
Its that pathway i wish to test for continuity if possible...hence my question.

That's what I thought you meant, check one of the online parts diagrams. I usually get on Toyota of Dallas parts to use their diagrams, but there are so many scam websites that are close to their address...

I'm pretty sure it plugs into the brake master cylinder assembly

So, some good news. Got back from a 5 day trip and drove the runner for about 1mile, and the brake sign went off, and my odometer started working, scanned the car, and all wheel sensors are working ok.

Note i had previously driven the truck about 5miles after the last repair/cleaning attempt on the wheel sensor.
So maybe the cleaning did the trick and the truck requires upto 6miles to reset the wheel sensors.

Only puzzle is that, i thought my san tool would have been able to communicate with the sensor, after my last attempt to clean them


now time to face the stubborn p0174.........arrrrggghhhhhhhh

Has anyone figured a definitive solution?

I’ve recently experienced this problem after a wheeling trip. My VSC trac, VSC off, ABS, and Brake light are lit up. Driving in the snow with no VSC or abs has been terrifying.
On my OBD reader it gives me a problem with the Left rear wheel sensor. I figured no problem I’ll just replace it so I did when I serviced my rear brakes (it also had grease on the sensor). To my surprise, after start up the problem continued (even after 100+ miles of driving). Tomorrow I am checking the continuity of the harnesses and will report back. Otherwise if anyone has any suggestions or tips, much appreciated!

what were the readings from your harness? sorry 2 year old bump thread. but this happened to me too. but can't find anywhere about number of resistance for the harness. my rear passenger sensor was just as dirty. i want to spray the hub with wd40 to clean it because its muddy but don't know how that will affect

so 2years after the lights are back again..the 2 rear wheel speed sensors are faulty from the codes i pulled with the obd tool. confused on what next to do now
