Absalom's 2000 Build Thread

Those came out sweet man. Between the bumper, grille, and the headlights I like the black across the front end. It's a different look than you usually see. Congrats on a job well done.

Now wait until it gets dark and get some pictures of the light output.

Got some cut off pics finally. As you can see, one of the lights is off just ever so slightly, I don't care at all as the output is sooo tremendous compared to stock.

Also, got my old good camera back, so no more grainy cell phone pics!

Wow! This is quite a project, good work. Figured I owe you a compliment after flaming you in that other thread last week.

Sucks about the Bimmer. I had a 528iT/5 with the sport package and sold it. Dumb move. I just sold my 540i/6. Honestly, I liked the 528 a lot more than the 540. Been toying with buying an e34 (535/5) if I sell one of my 4Runners.

Nice looking truck man! I really like the slightly raked stance that the LX450 coils provide and I can't wait to get mine installed. I saw that you're running the Monroe Sensa Tracs, do you have a model # or did you just get the ones that fit the rear of a '97 LX450?

The tire carrier is being built from the ground up by my fab guy. It was just going to be too much work to retrofit the 2nd gen carrier to my truck.

However, I did get my 4xInnovations sliders mounted, and they look great!

My buddy welding the legs to the sliders.

Fitting them to the truck.

The end result! Used self-etching primer, then truck bed liner. Easy mod.

Made a little walk around and drive video for my big girl.

It's looking SWEET! Looking forward to seeing what you guys fab up for the rear.

I also dig seeing your buddy welding in shorts and a t-shirt. Brave.

Dude! thanks :) Means a lot. That guy pumps out amazing work ... makes a lot of custom parts for VW, Porsche, etc and does it all in flip flops, shorts, and a t-shirt. Pretty cool.

Build's looking great man!

Lucky score on those wheels, $300 profit only to find another set for cheaper... haha way to win!

I also like how you changed to wider wheels... I agree, I wish the Tundra 17's were wider.

Keep up the good work man, subscribed.

Was just on Craigslist to entertain an idea. Was just a little curious to what price range I was looking at if I went to get a 4x4 beater for tail use only......... I saw your post and I have to say that I have seen that rig around here before and really wish I could come up with 10K lol. Good luck selling her I guess.

Went up to Crown King this past weekend with a group. In total there were 26 vehicles, a little large for my taste but still lots of fun overall. My truck performed great, all though there were a few sections that a locker would have helped.

Nice pics man! I saw your invite in the Trail threads. Couldn't go, but was interested in the club you went with. I checked their calendar, and it looks like it is the last event. When will they have a new calendar?

I took my stocker up CK for the first time back in May. Awesome trip. I did dent my stock skid plate on the trip, no other issues besides that.

I want to do it again, but after I put the lift on...coming soon!

Sweet pics man! I can't imagine going up with that many people...26 trucks is a huge!

Pretty funny about your friends heap too. I guess that's what you get for buying a POS though.

When does the lift go on?? I'll keep you posted on their upcoming events :)

Ha his Jeep is actually pretty fun, mainly because it's without a roof lol.

Looks like the CK trip was fun! That is a ton of trucks for that road. I did this trip along with Jeff (AZ4FNER) in my stock 98 4runner. I think we had a group of seven Toyota's? I bypassed most of the crazy optional stuff as my rig is stock. I would like to do this trip again but after better off-road tires (mine are stock) and a small lift. Amazing rig absalom:thumb3:
