I decided to add yet another build thread before I loose all my pics or forget all the stuff I have done to my rig. I will add pics and such as time allows. enjoy

This is pretty much where it starts, my 05 with an OME lift, I found this wonderful forum while researching lifts, and have come back for advice ever since. My second upgrade was 18 inch XD monsters with 285 65 18 Falken Wildpeak AT's.

I also took off the side steps to make it look super tall and removed the front sway bar when we put the Old man Emu 885's up front. OME 895 in rear with OME nitrocharger sport shocks all the way around.

I installed a K&N drop in air filter hoping to gain back a little power from the tire size change.

I decided to black out the roof rails, then went on to plasti dip all emblems and the silver bumper panels so that the truck is all red and black. My father in law mentioned it would look cool with a safari rack so I bought a rola rack too. I love the rack and it was cheap!

This is where the fever really set in. I was now researching armor, and I drooled over some of the built rigs on T4R. I decided to buy a Man a Fre skid package. Engine trans and transfer case skids with a huge crossmember at the transfer. I could not be happier with the skids, they are super stout and look awesome.I had the engine skid powder coated as well as the transfer skid and cross member, the trans skid I ordered came bare metal so I painted it with self etching metal primer and silver hammer coat.

Looking good there Yota, at first when I seen your first photo, was saying to myself, put a bigger tire on the front only and he calls it a lift, they must do things differently in CT. LOL.

Now you know, you just started a new addiction for yourself, you better stop before you get hooked.

Here are the skids installed. Ready to crush some rocks !




After I had the skids installed my lovely fiance ripped my front bumper off on a sign post... I used it as an excuse to buy a Demello single hoop winch bumper. I ordered it unfinished and painted it myself with hammer coat. Then I decided the hammer coat was not black enough, so i sprayed it again with rustoleum textured black.
Then I installed a superwinch 8500 with hawse fairlead, and Acro lights

Heres a shot of the man a fre transfer case cross member, the truck sans bumper and some after install pics. I had already removed the front mudflaps and trimmed alot of the inner fender plastic which is mostly gone now. I love the bumper and feel like it totally changed the trucks look as well as smoothed out the ride . My coils are intended for the extra weight so now it drives like its supposed to.

I put the spare tire, hi lift jack and shovel on the rack using some random U bolts, romex wire as ties. I bought a winch accessory kit for the back. Also did the Black headlight mod.

Notice the HATERADE sticker ? Thats for my jealous fiance who drives a jeep. What do you know Jeeps are for chicks lol! The other one says "nobody cares about your stick figure family" with a big truck sending all the little stick figures running.

So thats all I have for now, next post will prob be some wheeling pics from our new england trail run this saturday. Mods for the near future will be;
-Sliders, most likley home built
-guage led swap by eliemkov ? (however its spelt, sorry alex)
-stereo upgrade keeping jbl door speakers and amp with touch screen nav and 12 inch sub with amp
-better mounting for my roof to gear
-cb radio
-spidertracks or light racing UCA's
-possibly front window tint and vent visors
-custom interior lighting/ maybe rock lights/ off road lights(led bar?)
Its going to be a fun summer
